Some couples we photograph. Others we fall in love with along the way.

D&J belong to the second group. From our first conversation we clicked, and somewhere between early planning and a dinner at their place, working with them stopped feeling like a job and started feeling like being let into a friendship. That kind of trust changes how a day gets told. It stops being coverage and becomes something closer to celebration.

The day gave us everything we love about this work. A champagne tower catching the afternoon light, vows said outdoors with everyone gathered close, and a reception that ran well past night because nobody wanted to leave. We laughed a lot with this crew, got a little emotional more than once, and left reminded why we do this.

D&J, thank you for the trust from day one. We are so glad we got to tell this one. 😉

L&M gave us one instruction. Just capture the day as it happens.

No poses we didn‘t feel. No moments we had to fake. Just a hilltop in Iredale, a family getting ready together in borrowed hairspray and half finished cups of tea, and two people who kept finding each other in every quiet gap between the big moments.

Weddings like this remind us why we do this work. Not for the perfect frame, but for the real one. The one that still makes you laugh two years later.

Some weddings are all high energy from start to finish. D&E’s had highs and lows in the best way, the kind that make a day feel real rather than staged.

First look, quiet moments with family, then the whole room on their feet as they walked back down the aisle married. A speech that pulled at everyone in the hall. A gallery lit up at night, full tables, full hearts.

We just tried to keep up and catch it all as it came. 😊

Some couples arrive at their wedding day already carrying years of story together. T&B were exactly that.

Every time they looked at each other, you could feel it. All the time and everything that led up to this one day. Being close enough to watch that moment happen was something else.

Their bridal party matched that energy all day. Cheering, jumping in for hugs, holding hands between moments. It changed the whole feel of the day. Everything got more candid, more fun, less posed.

By the end, it didn't feel like just a wedding anymore. It felt like a big family celebration. Everyone laughing, some crying, everyone dancing together.

We feel lucky to be part of days like this. Every couple who trusts us with their wedding is carrying a story just as big, and we want every single one to feel this personal. 😊🎉

M&J are two of the most gracious people we have had the pleasure of photographing. We noticed it back at their engagement shoot, the way M looked at J. It is the kind of look you cannot pose for or ask someone to fake. You just wait for it, and you catch it when it comes.

There is a lovely thread to this one too. A few years back we photographed M's twin brother, J, on his own wedding day. That day led to this one, and being trusted with both brothers feels like a genuine honour. It is not something we take lightly. 🙏🏻

A rainy Brisbane day, bubbles down the aisle, a room full of people who clearly adore them. We were just there to hold onto it.

Why this works: it opens on the couple, not the camera. The twin story sits in the middle where it deepens the post rather than leading with a flex. The last line quietly says what we do without ever using the word "documentary."

A&B, this one stays with us.

A made so much of this day with her own hands. The menus, the newspaper, the little tattoos in the bowl, the signs. You could feel the hours in every detail, and somehow that made each moment matter a bit more.

Nobody held anything back. There were happy tears during the speeches, big laughs in the garden, quiet looks under the veil, and a champagne tower that got the whole crew cheering. Family and friends showed up with their whole hearts, and it showed.

A day built with love, celebrated the same way. Thanks for letting us be there for all of it. 😍🎉

Y & J built this one by hand.

The photo wall, the ramen bar, the drawings filling up the welcome board. Cup noodles between courses. A room full of people who travelled a long way and were glad they did. All of it thought through by a couple whose first instinct is to make other people comfortable.

By the evening they had stopped checking the run sheet and were just in it, laughing with their families, catching each other's eye across the tables.

T & M's engagement session, and this pair made it easy from the first frame.

Some couples want quiet and still. Some want to run across the grass and end up mid air. There's no right way to do this, and that's the whole point. We talk it through first, what feels like them, what they actually want to remember, and then we go make that happen. This is what T & M chose. Big laughs. A bit of chaos. Zero performance.
