August was a beautiful month! Full of lots of opportunities for creativity.

But man am I excited for Spring.

Warmer weather, longer afternoons, that festive energy in the air…

This is when I come alive haha

Christmas Minis are now booking at THE COASTAL COTTAGE BRISBANE | PHOTOSHOOT LOCATION ❤️🎄

This year I’ll be back capturing all the beautiful moments that make Christmas so wonderful over two dates: The 14th November and the 21st of November.

As always, Mel has done an incredible job of decorating her home for the occasion. This year the tree will be adorned with beautiful shades of burgundy, pink and gold.

As you arrive at the Coastal Cottage, I’ll have a space for your families to settle in by writing their letters to Santa. There will be a post box as well and the best bit? He writes back!

Once your session begins, we’ll head into the living room where the tree will be the backdrop as we embrace the magic and love of Christmas.

From there, you’ll choose how your session unfolds. You can opt for either a storybook bedroom set upstairs or head to the kitchen to bake some cookies where I’ll have gingerbread scented play doh for rolling and flour for sifting!

These sessions are always my most popular minis and for good reason!

Packages and booking info is available over on my website ❤️🎄

Back when I first picked up the camera and over-confidently decided this would be my career now, Khush and Jack were one of the first couples I photographed.

So it felt extra special to walk around the library and museum, finding quiet spots to stop and take a few photos before they welcome their first baby. Some might even describe it as a new chapter (get it, we were in a library with books).

I had so much fun taking carnival photos yesterday of Brooke and Chris. Sessions like this just overflow my creative cup.

One of the best parts of my job, is knowing that one day these will be the photos your kids look back on. Not just to see a version of themselves, but also to see a version of you.

I’ve really been having fun with photography lately. And this session was exactly that - fun!

We had a little hiccup at the start with a big event on next door to the original basketball court we had planned on shooting at (and all the streets were closed off as a result 🥲). But we were able to quickly pivot to another court near by. Thanks Maps 👏

My approach to newborn photography really isn’t all that different to how I approach my family sessions.

I follow your little one’s lead, keep poses relaxed and instead of trying to make a moment look perfect, we keep it real. And if that means a giant Bluey plushy makes it’s way into a few frames, then so be it 😂

The biggest difference between my newborn sessions and my family sessions is time.

These sessions are typically twice as long, meaning there’s time for resettles, changes, grabbing snacks for the toddler and soaking in all those beautiful newborn cuddles.

If you’re expecting a little one and would like their first days captured, exactly how they are, then let’s chat 💜
