Hi, I’m Jasmine— founder and photographer behind ShutterBubs. We specialise in natural, play-based photography for early learning centres across Brisbane. That means no forced smiles, no props, and no pressure — just beautifully honest portraits of little people in their element. From Book Week to Kindy Graduation, or everyday play, our sessions are designed to fit seamlessly into a centre’s rhythm. We share a love for childhood as it really is — messy, magical, and fleeting.

✨ Ready, set… GO! ✨

Photo week has wrapped up, and I’m now carefully editing each child’s gallery. What a joy it was to spend the week getting to know every little personality — from those who start shy and slowly warm up to the camera, to those who can’t wait to show off their creativity. Often, both scenarios unfold in the same child with just a little time!

I love that the way I structure the visit allows these moments to happen naturally. Sometimes I think I’m having a great session, and then a quiet word from a trusted educator brings out even more confidence that might have stayed hidden otherwise.

I deeply value educators, not only for this support on photo days but for the heart they put into their work every day — sharing calm, steady presence with each child. Moments like these are why I love what I do: capturing not just smiles, but the little sparks of joy and trust that make each child’s learning journey visible. 🌟

A huge thank you to the families and educators for such a wonderful week — it’s a privilege to witness these kids being themselves, and I can’t wait for you to see their galleries!

Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about confidence — how it shows up in children when they feel comfortable, seen, and unhurried. 🌿

Confidence doesn’t always look like a big smile.

Sometimes it’s quiet. Sometimes it’s curious. Sometimes it’s a child simply feeling safe enough to be themselves. 🤍

That’s the space I photograph from, capturing the confidence that’s quietly nurtured every day within early learning spaces.

While I’m editing centre material and preparing new offerings for ShutterBubs, I’m also opening limited bookings for the coming months.
