A sad announcement as it is the closing of the chapter for our wonderful friends at Caffeine Espresso: after 2+ years of amazing coffee and relish wraps, it is time to move on.
It was a great honour to create the Caffeine Gallery as a New York-style wall featuring members of the community and their lovely pets. Connecting with everybody in this space that owner, Justin, had created through excellent coffee, great food and fabulous service, has been such an uplifting experience. There are some really wonderful people there!
I wish Justin and his family all the very brightest and best future with whatever will come next.
After a lot of thought and some big life changes, I wanted to share some news with you all ❤️
As many of you know, I suffered a stroke in mid-2024. It’s been a challenging time, and my focus now needs to be on my health and recovery. Because of this, I’ve made the very difficult decision to sell Caffeine Espresso.
This little café has meant the world to me – not just as a business, but as a community. I’ve loved the chats at the counter, the regulars who became friends, and all the memories made over coffees, breakfasts and laughs.
Unfortunately, our chef has decided to finish up earlier than planned, and his final day will be Friday. This means the kitchen will not be operating over the weekend, and we won’t be able to offer a final weekend breakfast service as we had hoped.
The good news is that the café will still be serving coffee and lite snack on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, and I’d love for you to drop in for a cuppa and a chat during those days.
I want to say a huge thank you to:
☕️My wonderful family, for their love, support and strength through everything
☕️Our loyal customers, who have supported us through the highs and lows
☕️Our amazing staff, past and present, who helped make caffeine espresso what it is
The café will be in new hands as of Tuesday and I’m confident the new owners will continue to look after you. I hope you’ll show them the same support and kindness you’ve shown me.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for being part of this journey.
Justin x
