We landed in Brisbane and headed straight out of our hotel , through the city Botanical gardens and over to the beautiful bouganvilla clad arbour which runs along the riverside , passing the maritime museum on our way ! The riverside is amazing !! We discovered a city beach ( with sand and pools ), a rainforest board walk , ferris wheel and so many areas for walking , cycling etc !! A very vibrant , family friendly city !!

Some of the cave paintings by the Anangu people who are the indigenous people of Uluru and the traditional owners of the land , which also includes Kata Tjuta , and have lived here for 20.000 years. Their culture is based on the Tjukurpa , a belief system that includes stories , law and spiritual beliefs of the creation period. The cave paintings show how the Elders taught the children and young people about hunting and gathering .
