The Nikon F100 is a 35 mm film-based single-lens reflex camera body introduced in 1999. It is often thought of as a scaled-down version of the Nikon F5, and as a precursor to the Nikon F6. The F100 was discontinued, along with most other Nikon film cameras, in 2006. Nikon still markets two 35 mm film cameras, the F6 and the FM10, the latter is made under contract by Cosina. They can be found at Nikon USA and at Nikon Japan websites.

Design and construction
The F100's metering system is a development of Nikon's matrix metering technology introduced in 1983 on the Nikon FA. The meter in the F100 uses a 10 segment light sensor and uses distance information from Nikon D-type and G-type lenses for more accurate exposure calculations when using direct flash. In addition to matrix metering, the F100 also offers standard center-weighted and spot metering modes.

Also incorporated into the camera is Nikon's Dynamic Autofocus system and a 4.5 frame per second motor drive with automatic rewind. The top motor drive speed can be boosted to 5 frames per second with the addition of the Nikon MB-15 battery pack.

The F100 also provides many features which are common among high-end 35 mm SLR cameras, such as automatic bracketing modes, DX film speed sensing, and custom functions that allow photographers to tailor certain aspects of the camera's operation to the way they work.

During its production run, Nikon replaced the film rewind spool for these cameras due to a manufacturing defect.

The 531/16 is a folding camera in the Ikonta line, produced by the German company Zeiss Ikon.
It takes 12 size 6x6 cm images on 120 type rollfilm. The Super Ikonta's are equiped with coupled rangefinders.
It was generally sold as the Super Ikonta III.
This Super Ikonta model has an automated film transport stop and counting mechanism.
There are some notable differences with earlier Super Ikonta's. First of all the fact that the Rangefinder system uses another principle. No longer is an (external) rotating wedge used but now the principle of a mirror and moving lens is used. The whole rangefinder is thus incorporated into the topcover.
Secondly the fact that no longer a red window is used for determining the start position of the film. Now the film is transported with the back open till the start arrows on the film back paper are at 2 white markers on the filmgate. Then the back can be closed and the film transported till that locks and the counter automaticly set to number 1.
Production period : 1953 to 1957.

The Nikon F3 was Nikon's third professional single-lens reflex camera body, preceded by the F and F2. Introduced in 1980, it had manual and semi-automatic exposure control whereby the camera would select the correct shutter speed (aperture priority automation). The Nikon F3 series cameras had the most model variations of any Nikon F camera. It was also the first of numerous Nikon F-series cameras to be styled by Italian designer Giorgetto Giugiaro, and to include a red stripe on the handgrip – a feature that would later become (with variants of stripes and various other shapes) a signature feature of many Nikon cameras.

The F2AS was a current model when the F3 was introduced, and for a while both were sold concurrently. The earlier Nikons had developed such a sterling reputation for extreme ruggedness and durability that many Nikon F and F2 owners were initially reluctant to transition to the new F3 from the F2 series, particularly due to the new camera needing batteries to operate. The F3 was superseded by the F4 in 1988 and the F5 in 1996. Despite being superseded by the newer cameras, it remained in production through to 2001, with over 751,000 F3s produced through September 1992. It continues to be the longest running professional grade Nikon SLR. Long after production ceased, new bodies in boxes were available throughout the world, so an exact production number is not readily available.
