Katia and Liam’s engagement session was a laid-back afternoon spent in each other’s arms, sharing quiet moments and plenty of time with their beloved fur baby, Barney. 🐾

They’ll have plenty of beautiful photos dressed up on their wedding day, so their engagement session was the perfect opportunity to capture this chapter of their lives exactly as it is — relaxed, connected, and simply doing life together with their pooch by their side.

These are often the photos that become favourites years later; a snapshot of everyday love, before the excitement of becoming husband and wife.

What I love most about extended family sessions is that they’re so much more than a single group photo of everyone.

I love capturing the grandparents surrounded adoringly by their grandchildren. Adult siblings who rarely find themselves in front of the camera together anymore. Cousins being silly together. All the different and special connections between family members.

Everyone leaves with beautiful photographs of their FAMILY , making it an incredibly valuable experience for all involved.

They envisioned something timeless and romantic, with an old-world feel that looked as though it belonged in the pages of a classic love story.

The beautiful thing was that there was no need to direct the romance. The way they looked at each other, the gentle touches, the quiet moments between them—it all came so naturally.

Photographing these two felt like stepping into a romantic movie, where every scene was effortless, authentic, and full of emotion.

A very special proposal... This one involved arrival by helicopter! 🚁💍

It was such an incredible experience capturing Lui’s surprise proposal to Melinda at the beautiful grounds of Spicers Hiddenvale.

With only a short time together visiting Brisbane, Luis planned an unforgettable day. Melinda thought they were simply heading out to explore Brisbane. What she didn’t know was that they would be seeing Brisbane from above and the adventure would continue with a surprise flight out west to Spicers Hiddenvale, where a lunch booking at Homage Restaurant was waiting… and so was I.

Once the helicopter landed, Luis got down on one knee, recited a beautiful poem and asked the biggest question of his life.

The excitement, the surprise, the emotion, and the stunning countryside setting made this a proposal neither of them will ever forget.

It was forecast to be windy and rainy, and Lakshan and I spent the days leading up to the proposal coming up with backup plans and alternative locations.

But in the end, he decided it would be the beach — rain, hail or shine.

And sure enough, it rained. The wind was wild. I stood on the beach getting rained on and praying for it to clear up and texting updates. But as luck would have it, the rain stopped at exactly the right moment.

Somehow, Lakshan managed to convince Pahasara that their post lunch beach stroll should still go ahead.
The rain chased everyone else away, leaving the beach almost completely empty, and it ended up being a beautiful, intimate proposal with just the two of them on the beach.

Family photoshoots should be fun. Not just standing and smiling at the camera, but spending time together, playing, exploring, and capturing the connection that makes your family yours.
Sharing a few frames from a beautiful afternoon at the beach with this gorgeous family of five. The last time I photographed them, they were a family of four—and none of us knew that their little girl was already there, quietly growing in mum’s tummy.
One of my favourite parts of this job is seeing families return… watching their families grow and helping them preserve different chapters in their life. So grateful to still be doing what I love and to be trusted with these memories.

A few frames from Josh & Ella’s Brisbane elopement 🤍
They chose an intimate ceremony at the Brisbane Wedding Registry, surrounded by just their nearest and dearest—all dressed in black for the most stylish celebration.
Afterwards, we headed to the City Botanic Gardens for photos, with the whole crew tagging along (some on scooters!), plenty of laughs, and champagne shared straight from the bottle.
Proof that you don’t need a big wedding to have an unforgettable day!
