It’s been a hot minute since I posted on here because it’s been BUSY at my workplace, but know that I still here - still taking photos and muddling along in this life.

I hope you’re all doing well and having a wonderful 2023 so far! I’ll try to be a little bit more active here but don’t be afraid to drop me message if you’re not sure if I still exist 😅🥰

✨Sneak Peeks✨

Bree and Reegan shared beautiful vows with each other yesterday in front of their nearest and dearest, at the wonderful St Bernard’s Hotel in Mt Tamborine. (Shout out to the amazing wedding coordinator Bec from St Bernards in particular).

When I asked Bree and Reegan how it all started, and what they were most looking forward to they said - “we matched on Tinder, and Reegan started the conversation with a compliment on Bree's spongebob costume. We talked for a few weeks, and then had a digital boardgames/movie date over Facetime as we were long distance. Bree had plans to be in Brisbane about a month after our first date, but got impatient and spontaneously booked a hotel a week early and came down for our first in-person date.

We are most excited for the opportunity to be legally married surrounded by the people we love, particularly since it wasn't possible when we were growing up. Also, carving it up on the dance floor with our nieces and nephews. “

Do you like getting ready photos? (I sure do!)

They’re not for everyone though. If you’re not a fan of them, let your photographer know because maybe that’s an area that you can save on. If you’re not interested in getting ready photos, then you might only need a 6 hour photography package instead of 8 or 10hrs.

Personally, I love them because I feel like that’s where the excitement for the day ahead is radiating out of everyone.

This was one of my favourite photos from Dana and Sam’s morning❤️.

It’s ✨sneak peek✨ time!!

A dream wedding with Tuscany vibes, Dani and Alex tied the knot at the amazing in Hobart.

This wedding holds a special place in my heart as these two were one of the first couples in front of my camera - before I’d even officially started my photography journey! It was such a wonderful pleasure to be a part of their wedding day. Once their cover ended, I even threw back a couple of wines and joined them on the dance floor. 😉

When I asked them how it all started, Daniella told me -

It was always meant to be. We met through our best friends (Rebecca and Martin), who happen to be siblings. Alex went to school with Martin, and joined him at a party one night at Rebecca’s house. At the time Rebecca and I lived together, and never needed an excuse to host a party. Before we started dating, we spent a lot of time together as friends. We lived across the road from each other, and would spend most nights and weekends hanging out – going to café 63, swimming and watching movies. It wasn’t until I went to Vietnam on a solo holiday did I realise I liked Alex more than a friend. Once I arrived home I promptly told him I liked him and that we were dating. Alex cleared his roster and we never looked back. Our first date was at the Glass House Mountains. We drove up on a Saturday for a picnic. We yeehawwed off-road, and had the first of many adventures.

Their top tip for getting married was to create the perfect day for YOU, and don’t sweat the small stuff. We wanted to get married at a beautiful location, and splurge on incredible food and wine. We didn’t want to spend a lot on styling and flowers - so we didn’t. The things that were most important to us was to invite only those closest to us, and to put on a beautiful party that everyone will remember.

And as well all know, it wouldn’t be possible without an amazing team of vendors working behind the scenes!

We’re starting to get into the thick of 2023 now! Hard to believe!
Are you getting married this year and if so, how’s the planning going? It’s exactly a week before I head down to Tassie for my first interstate (overseas? 😂) wedding. Thrilled to be a part of what is going to be an AMAZING day for Danielle and Alex ❤️.

This was one of my favourite images from a Feb wedding last year working under . It’s always so much fun working with other photographers on a wedding day ❤️

Here’s one from the archives! I loved getting to capture Casey and Ty’s wedding day. They had so many elements that made it special to them and they even had a few punches to roll with when they had to have a last minute venue change which always adds a bit more drama than necessary on a wedding day haha.

Super excited to share the wedding video of the gorgeous Chloe and Alex. I could spend ages trying to find the right words to describe their day but why do that when their video says it all 💕
Shout out to all the amazing vendors that helped this day be as wonderful as it was.

Honeymoon Planning Tip:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Look at renewing your passport now (assuming you’re going internationally).
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Since April this year, the wait times on passport renewals has been months, and just when things were improving consider that there will be a lot of people renewing their passports since the Optus hack. As such it’s worth looking at renewing your passport sooner rather than later!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And, don’t forget that many countries won’t issue visas to people whose passport has less than 6 months until the expiry date.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And as a final note. Whatever you do - don’t take your expired passport to the airport instead of the new one!! (Thankfully not one of my personal experiences but I’ve heard stories from travellers 🧳 who took their old passport to the airport and then missed their flights. Oops!!)
