Argh! It’s winter and there’s nothing to do in Tasmania except everything! The wildlife is at Hobart’s doorstep when you jump aboard fast boats that take you right to the action. Then there’s the winter event they call Dark M**o 12 days of bizarre with half a cup of crazy mixed with wonderful. The food at the Winter Feast is next level.

This New Zealand Fur seal was fishing in Storm Bay Tasmania. It had just caught this massive stingray.

The very strange ritual at Hobart’s Dark M**o event called Ogoh-ogoh purification ceremony takes place it ends with a purification fire. It’s huge. I took this picture about 2 kilometres away. It’s right on the edge of Hobart’s CBD.
