Canberra is such an odd and amazing place, from The Big House (4500 rooms and 2700 clocks) to the second weirdest water feature in Australia (the first being the swimming pool to memorialise Harold Holt). Grateful I got to see it on a special mission.

So this is a blood moon lunar eclipse that humans haven’t seen for more than 500 years. I like it. Not sure if it was worth the wait but I like it.

So good of Nikon Australia to share this try-it-and-see light trail photo I captured on the Story Bridge at sunset.

"I was racing over Brisbane’s Story Bridge, half panicking, trying to catch the last moments of the winter sunset when I looked back and realised the sky and light trails were striking right where I stood. My tripod jumped with every car that passed (of course) so I used the VR in my lens, cranked up the ISO, watched for a break in the traffic, hit the shutter, and hoped for the best!" -
