Recently I've had the pleasure of working with Autistic-ADHD Artist, Art Therapist, Arts-Based Researcher & Neuro-Affirming Educator, Chrissy of 🌿

Chrissy has created such a beautifully calm and welcoming environment in both her home and studio space. Photographing her space was a nice reminder that personal brand photography isn't just about faces, it's about the places, processes and details that make your work uniquely yours.

For artists, makers, creatives and small business owners, people aren't just connecting with what you do, they're connecting with who you are. The way you work, the details you surround yourself with, the environment you've thoughtfully built around you.

Because sometimes you just want beautiful family photos without turning it into a full-scale military operation involving snacks, bribes, outfit negotiations and someone crying before you even leave the house (usually a parent).

These sessions are short, relaxed, affordable, and made for families, couples and little ones wanting to capture this season of life as it is — messy hair, cheeky toddlers, cuddles, chaos and all.

Going through postpartum for a second time feels different to the first. The days can feel long, but incredibly busy. The weeks go so fast, but still some moments freeze time.

Watching my girls grow together and learn about each other feels sacred. It feels like something I want to share with the whole world, but also keep a secret just for our family.

As a mum, I see the pressure that's put on us to rush through this babyhood phase - get back to work, get back to earning, get our bodies 'back', to strive for those childhood milestones, to start daycare, plan schooling, and think about the future.

And I'm saying hold on. Just wait.

Hold on to the long days when all they want is you. Hold on to the 'Mummy, mummy, look at me!' moments. Embrace the contact naps. Hold their hand. Hold their BIG feelings. Hold them.

The world can wait a minute, while you soak up every ounce of this season you can.

Yes, it can be overwhelming, and some days it feels incredibly hard to hold it all together. Some days you simply can't, and that's ok too. You're doing a great job.

All throughout high school, I knew I wanted to be a graphic designer — so that’s exactly what I did. I landed a design job at a well-known Brisbane photography studio, but it didn’t take long to realise I wanted to do more than just design. I needed to learn photography too.

From there, I became the family and baby photographer (aka the “baby whisperer”) in the studio, while also assisting on weddings 📷 💍

Since then, life has taken me in a few different directions — other jobs, studying nutrition, and having two babies of my own — but I’ve always found my way back to photography.

For me, photography is about sharing the way I see the world: the moments, the tiny details, the beauty in everyday life. As a mum myself, I know how easy it is to get caught up in the tiredness, the endless to-do lists, and the messy lounge room… but I also know these days hold so much love, connection, and magic worth remembering 🤍

I may not be everyone's cup of tea, but if you're looking for a relaxed, creative, quirky, photographer to capture your family's little moments, I'm your girl.

Let’s be real — the cost of living right now is a lot. Groceries, rent, bills… it adds up quickly, and I never want beautiful family memories to feel completely out of reach because of that.

So, in the spirit of community and creativity, here are a few alternative “payment methods” I’d happily consider:

• Photographs of my own family
• Artwork for my home
• Cooking classes (teach me your ways 👩‍🍳)
• Other services — house cleaning, beauty treatments, even tattoos
• Exercise classes or PT sessions
• Locally made clothing or handmade pieces
• Sealed Pokemon cards (hubby's request 😆)
