Lounge fantasy feels.

It has taken several months post long lockdowns to readapt to the new flow of things and if we're honest, we are still adapting and playing catch-up!

But we are thrilled to finally be dreaming about a slow transformation for this studio again. Alongside who is now the other resident photographer and we have so many ideas! For starters, this lounge area. The new bench arrived yesterday and it's sooooo pretty 😍

2021. I remember being a kid watching movies that were set in the 2020's and wondering if I'd be driving a flying car. But here we are, in the bookends of time we have created for ourselves to map the seasons, inevitable change and hopeful beginnings.
In all honestly, for me, time just continues with the arc of the seasons that mother nature dictates. I feel we are in the midst of a mass extinction though that we are bringing on ourselves this time. The tectonic shifts we are seeing are our collective doing and the only thing that pulls me out of the daily sinking feels is because I see the spark of activism in many forms and for many causes in both my community and the global community. I see the natural world carry on and adapt to human impact as best they can leaving us a window of this thing we call time to turn things around.
Though I am excited to get back to the studio, to venture to locations with my light box and friends and collaborators I've yet to meet, I am most excited about making more space and time to learn, to listen, to observe and to feel with a quieted mind and a body that feels just a bit more grounded and less ignored. Here's to the next wave of seasons and the unknown. May we all continue to feed our inner chameleons and feed connection over polarisation.
