Fake AI Testimonials Could Hurt Bundaberg Businesses with heavy fines.

As AI tools become more advanced, there’s something local businesses need to understand very quickly:

Trust is about to become one of the most valuable assets a business can own.

AI can now generate faces, voices, reviews, videos, and customer testimonials that look incredibly real. But if those testimonials are misleading or presented as genuine when they’re not, businesses could be putting themselves at serious legal and reputational risk.

In Australia, fake or misleading testimonials can attract penalties of up to $50 million under consumer law.

That’s not just a warning for big corporations.
That applies to local business too.

Here in Bundaberg, so much business is still built on word of mouth, reputation, relationships, and trust within the community.

People can feel authenticity.
And they can feel when something is manufactured.

The businesses that win in the AI era won’t be the ones faking credibility.
They’ll be the ones using AI responsibly while staying real, transparent, and human.

Because in the end, local trust is worth more than artificial perfection.
