I love to immerse myself in nature’s beauty. Sometimes, all I can do is to stand there in the midst of it’s beauty and say softly … “this is sooo beautiful” … and drink in all that surrounds me. The chirping of birds, the fragrance of wildflowers on the gently blowing breeze. And I think … “it is well with my soul” … Nature is my happy place. Let me delight your senses, a

nd take you on a journey with me … let me show you how I see nature … our beautiful blue planet never ceases to amaze me. Photography can be a brilliant way to display nature in it’s wonderful and various forms … simply put, through how I see it. It can be so abstract, with textures and patterns that are “out of this world” … if we would just take a look … it’s free for us wherever we are on earth. G'day friends ... been a bit distracted with other bits n bobs going on ... thought it was about time I did another "bomb" post of pics to share with you all ...
Rode my bike to the beach n went for a lovely wander along the gentle shores of Geographe Bay ... you can walk for miles along the beach ... if ya up to it ... but I had a distance in mind ... cause I had to ride back home as well ... oh crikey ... everything was fine til I had to hop on my bike n head home ... on the way back I was overcome with the heat (n it wasnt even a hot day as far as our summers go) ... by the time I managed to get back home I was soooo crook ... parked the bike n sat on the patio floor to gather myself ... nausea was awful ... got in the shower n sat on the floor under a cool-ish shower to cool my body down ... gosh it's an awful thing ... it bites when you least expect it to ... [I've noticed this has been slowly coming to the fore for the last 3 years - not nice]
I guess fibromyalgia can add another knotch to it's belt ... heat stress ... I did go to the doctor n yep ... he confirmed it ... n advised that I not go out in the heat anymore ... lol ... yeah ... righto ... I already hibernate over summer ... n this particular day it was still under 30C ... so not too hot ...
I guess the pumping my heart rate up with the peddling of the bike is what did it ... so it will be gentle walking for this ol' duck then ...

The walk along the beach was so lovely though ... n ya never quite know what you might see ... a small group of us watched a solo dolphin catching some brekkie for itself ... now that was soooo cool to see ... n I did manage to get a couple of pics ... (bonus!!!) ... gosh it was only in about 3ft of water too ... def not scared of us ... dolphin pics are at the end of the post if ya not interested in the rest ... lol ...

Righto ... you've ploughed through the dribble ... I only share bits about myself like that cause ya never know who it may help ...
are ya ready for a lovely wander along the beach with me??? N yep ... after being in an Irish winter for 3 months ... I did apply some sunscreen ... lol ...

G'day friends ... are you keen to see some pics of my wander through the bush? Been slowly getting back into my bush walks ... have to pick my days - between the days of too much heat ...
Gently does it for me ... cause I did suffer with a bit of heat stress late last year (😵‍💫😵🤢) ... not nice ... but so far so good ...
Last year was a year of jumping health hurdles for me ... with several trips to hospital to have a "ticking timebomb" quietly growing in my bowel removed ... yep ... a cancerous cell was found ... but thanks goodness they caught it all ... now just monitoring every few months with MRI's ... geez ... we so need to keep an vigilant eye on our health ... I would never have known if I didnt go to my doctor to discuss having a colonoscopy ... cause my dad died of cancer (a long time ago now) ... thank God I did ... now I say this only to help you ... if anything you get a gut feeling about n also notice different things happening in ya poos 💩 ... go get checked ... ok???? N dont rely on the bowel cancer screening either ... it didnt pick it up in mine ... cause it wasnt right up inside my bowel ... it was at the opening (sorry about the gory details - but ya gotta get things checked) ... dont put it off ...
Righto ... back to our bush wander ... we actually didnt go far ... but I was on the hunt for a particular flower that I wondered might still be flowering ... but alas ... I missed it ... it flowers Nov-Dec ... but I found the evidence of their flowers ... lol ...
Summer time isnt the best time of year for wildflowers ... but there are always some around ... nature takes care of her little critters that need nectar to live on ... but I dont only go bush looking for flowers ... I absolutely adore the tiny little micro worlds n nature patterns I see all over the place ... n I see things that totally fascinate me ... I can be a bit weird about some of the things I take pics of ... but hey ... that's me ... I love my weirdness ... 🤣😊😇
All these were taken in one small section of bushland ... about 20 mins from my home ... the bush is very dry this time of year ... but this day ... it even drizzled on me ... nice n refreshing ...
This day was a great day for me to get my bush legs back n also get my camera (more like my brain) back to doing Aussie light ... so different to Ireland's light ... many of my pics didnt turn out that great ... cause I need to adjust to the different light we have here ... oh do I ever learn ... lol ...

G'day friends ... n just when ya think I might be finished with my Ireland wanders ... sorry ... you'll have to think again ... 🤣
Im just very slow with my editing ...
These pics are from a wander around Trim ... another great Irish town ... full of history ... n that castle (you'll have to wait for upcoming posts for pics of the castle - remember ... Im taking you on a journey around Trim ... )
I left Serena n Seany at the aquatic centre ... Seany having his swimming lessons ... so I took the opportunity of escaping up the street for a look ... I made sure I took notice of the way I went so I could find my way back ... but Im usually pretty good with directions ... so off we go ... not really knowing how far I'd get ... but towards the castle is the general direction of my wander ...
Ya coming??? ...

G'day friends ... righto ... were heading back to Laytown Beach for more of our wander out on the tidal flats there ... what a magical time it was ... the sky was amazing so bare with me with all the sky pics ... oh ... n ya need to bare with me with all the sand pattern shots as well ... well ... crikey ... it's just amazing for me ... I adore patterns ... especially nature patterns ...
I had a good fossick yesterday in the bush near where I live ... needed the bush ... needed to ground myself with nature ... I do that all the time ... so important for my health ... not to mention my mental well being as well ... (sorry ... got side-tracked then) ...
I found some lovely bush patterns ... but you'll have to wait till I edit them ... lol ..
So ... until then ... you'll have to put up with lovely sand patterns on Laytown Beach in Ireland ... gosh I love it there ... n how's that sky ... glad I got some ok shots of it ... I have been trying to allow myself to leave some of my pics a bit on the darker side ... trying to break the mould of always having too much light ... whether it works or not is another thing ... oh gosh ... Im dribbling now ... better sign off ... thanks for putting up with me the way I am ... I post an overload of pics n I can get into a bit of a dribble at times ... but hey ... that's me ...

G'day friends ... still got more pics from Ireland ... quite a few more actually ... honestly ... I get myself overwhelmed sometimes with how many pics I take ... but I just cant help myself ... well ... more like DONT want to help myself ... taking pics is something I thoroughly enjoy ... def no expert ... n I love the thrill of uploading my pics n actually seeing what I managed to capture ... always a bonus when some actually do turn out ok ... lol ..
Righto ... these pics are from the Tower (or Spire - take ya pic) of Lloyd just on the outskirts of Kells ... such a great spot for a walk n to enjoy the views of the surrounding countryside ... it does get fresh up there though ... especially in mid winter like these pics are taken ... fab day for a gorgeous wander in Kells ... gosh I miss being there ...
Havent been out much since I've been home ... just chillin' as best I can with the temps a bit higher than I'd like them to be ... still got another 5-6 weeks or more of hot weather ... yuk!!! 😂🙃😕☹️😫🥵

G'day friends ... well ... my body clock has switched now ... I even had a lovely walk down the beach yesterday ... always great for grounding the body ... but this is Laytown Beach in Ireland ... one of our fave places to head to ... especially when the tide is out ...
What a great wander it was too ... my daughter n I went to the other side of the estuary/river this time ... down past the lovely thatched cottage on the shoreline ... I wonder how that place faired after the recent storms that flooded parts of Dublin n other places too ... the Irish sea turned treacherous ...
But ... this particular day was great ... we dodged the rain ... n enjoyed the wonderful clouds over the sand flats at low tide ...
Hope you dont mind me showing more pics of Ireland ... I still have days of editing to do yet ... n ... no ... I wont torture you by showing you them all ... just some to take you on a journey ... that's all ...
That's my story ... n Im sticking to it ... lol ...

Hi everyone ... I've arrived back in Aus ... oh that flight 😵‍💫 such a long way ... gosh I find planes so fascinating ... do you? How can something so blimmin big n heavy stay in the air ... it really is quite astounding ... one of man's best inventions I think ... Emirates are an exceptional airline Company ... I have to say ... havent had a bad flight with them yet ...
I'll be staying low for a bit ... I have chronic jetlag ... zero energy to do anything ... so will be needing a few days to line myself up again with the times here ...
Thanks Perth (NOT!!! lol) for putting on a 37C ☀️ day for me after leaving Dublin which was a lovely 3C ... 😂❄️ ooooo ... nearly melted waiting for the bus to arrive ... it's much cooler where I live ... a few hours south of Perth ...
It is good to be home ... but I sure will miss Ireland ... every time I go there it takes a little bit more of my heart ... I reckon it's because I love photography (albeit only a hobby ... certainly not a pro) ... cause it gives me a really strong connection to places ... n this time Kells stole a piece of it ❤ as well ... gosh I so enjoyed wandering around there ... thankfully it's not such a large town that ya cant wander n get lost ... lol ...
I do have more pics ... but not today ... Im totally knackered ... but will leave you with a "self portrait" mug shot I took ... just for fun ... Happy days to you all ... n thanks Kells ... you're a wonderful place to live ... ###j 💚🤍🧡 💙🤍❤️

Hi friends ... well ... blow me down ... it actually snowed last night in Kells ... ❄️❄️❄️ ... oh it did look so pretty ... but not long lasting ... all gone this morning ... with the rain setting in ...
So this is a perfect choice to share with you all today ... I took these on an extremely frosty morning ... everything outside was frozen ... I never even knew these spider webs were that until that morning ... cause the webs were frozen n white ... sooo pretty ... such clever little things ... spiders ... well .. I reckon so anyway ...

G'day friends ... something a bit different today ... oh I do love coming across tiny little bits like this ... People who saw me clicking at this musta thought I was nuts .. yeah ... I spose I am a bit ... but if I wasnt a tad nuts then I wouldnt see what I see when Im out with my camera ... n when I edit these ... my mind just see all sorts of different things ...
Now ... ya may be wondering what on earth it is ... do you have any idea??? Well ... it's a safety mirror on a wall in the main street of Kells ... that helps car drivers see if it's clear on the roads ... you know those big round mirrors ya see round the place ... this one has no doubt been there a long time n it's slowly losing it's mirror part ... a total bonus for me ... lol

G'day friends ... geez ... I was debating whether to share some more pics ... may as well ... I'll be a long time gone before Im back again in Kells ... n yep ... still got loads to show you ... well ... not all of them ...
So today Im gonna show you some random shots I took ... it didnt snow while I was here ... but there certainly were some crispy frozen mornings with frost ... (apparently it's looking like snow ... yeah ... that would be right ... just as I leave ... lol) ...

G'day friends ... time is slowly whitling away on my stay here ... thought I'd better get some more pics up to share with you all ...
This particular day I had made my way to Colmcille's Well ... I have so enjoyed checking out all the little history spots around Kells ... not quite got to all of them ... the mausoleum will have to wait until next time ... n hopefully by then there may be a public track to it ... or do you reckon that might be wishful thinking ... lol ...
Not to worry ... all good ... what will be ... will be ...
Anyway ... hope you enjoy a little more of Kells ...

Hi friends ... well ... Im a week late showing these ... but we actually managed to get to the Tower of Lloyd on full moon night ... just as the sun was setting ... brrrrrr ... 🥶🥶🥶 ... just a tad chilly up there ... def need to rug up ... I was grateful I had my gloves with me ... but what a lovely evening it was ...
Now ... Im not the best with end of day shots ... but I clicked away regardless of that n hoped for the best ... lol ...
But ... happy to say I did get some ok shots ... especially of the sunset ... the moon shots ... not so good ... I dont have the right gear for that but I had a go ...
