Sir David Attenborough himself once described Lord Howe Island as “so extraordinary it is almost unbelievable… Few islands, surely, can be so accessible, so remarkable, yet so unspoilt.”

Months after visiting myself and now looking back through these photographs, I can’t help but feel the same.

14. Cloud forest ‘island apples’. Inedible, sadly.

This time last year.. we were just wrapping up a 3-month stint in Hong Kong. All kinds of craziness. I’m still holding onto quite a few memories from there, moments that to this day still surprise me when I look at the photos. HK isn’t just a busy city!
