Holy Guacamole!!! The Word of the Day is indeed ‘Pivot’

This outfit as Finalists in the Australian Wearable Art Festival has apparently developed its own mischievous life, no kidding. Problem solving with Donna Waterford is like navigating a creative obstacle course.

We’re both creative, so we approach things from completely different angles, which is super duper helpful.

Today, we had to ‘undo’ many hours of painstaking work and Donna’s exquisite stitching, and I got to wield my trusty hacksaw - with glee!!!

This is a major construction job 🚧

Delicious slice of sunlight rays at Golden Beach

The selection of designs for the main outfit as FINALISTS in Australian Wearable Art Festival. Stocktake done ☑️ and confirmed this selection works.

These are a very eclectic set of my photos on fabric designs-

- Studio Cupboards - yes, the kitchen cupboards at my studio. A splash of sunlight comes in late afternoon, creating this strong composition. A modern art take on the traditional blue striped tie.

- Green Man - part of my winning portfolio for Australian Professional Photographer of the Year. If I had to choose ONE photo to sum up my love of photography and career, it’s this image. It was also my very first necktie 👔 design I made and wore to opening night at my New York exhibition. With so many requests that night for ‘Where did you get that necktie?’ was the nudge I needed to create this fashion range.

Zebras Crossing - taken in Africa on photo safari with Doug Spowart & Victoria Cooper. Gold Award for this photograph.

Australian Beach Aerial - taken from the helicopter 🚁. When I learned to fly, it gave me a whole new perspective for photography. Way before drones were a ‘thing’!

Statute Faced - the gorgeous Wendy O’Hanlon came in for some art portraits, and I used a cloth hairdressing cape as a backdrop. Also won an award with this image.
