Good Evening All!!

Thats it. Season 2026 for Junior Footy has come to an end.

With no Grand Finals at Campbelltown Stadium this year, It was Waminda Ovals turn to roll out the red carpet for our biggest day of the year. With Waminda Oval hosting, this was a massive success and such a well run day. A huge thank you to Daniel, Ashley, Ali, Brendan and the rest of the East Campbelltown Eagles crew and the Wests Board Members along with our NSWRL reps who all came together to set up and run the day without a single glitch. Further proof that a good Committee and valued Board Members can pull an event like this off!!

What a weekend. Grand Finals are just epic. They bring out all the emotions. What stood out again today was the clean footy on display. Sometimes with everything on the line emotions do spill over but a credit to all involved that emotions stayed out on the field.

Congratulations to all winners!! Enjoy the off Season knowing you are the premiers of your age group. To all the teams that came up short today, hold your heads up. You all had great Seasons and should be proud of all your achievements for this year.

So for the final GAMEDAY photo of the year, it is a small selection of moments from today that cement my opinion that our District is the best for Junior Footy!!

Good Evening All!!

Saturdays 2026 Grand Final edition has come and gone.

Congratulations to all winning teams today. Keep living in this moment. Keep that feeling of winning after all the hardwork you have put in throughout the Season.
Commiserations to all teams that came up short today. Also keep this moment in the forefront of your thoughts. Use this feeling for motivation to work that little bit harder to go one spot further in Season 2027.

I covered the Girls Grand Finals on the top field today.
Well done To the U13 Girls winning teams, Easts Eagles and Oran Park Chargers.
U15 Girls winning teams Oran Park Chargers and L.C.C Raiders Pink.
And U17 Girls winners L.C.C Raiders!!

All teams should be proud of not only how you played today, but also the integrity of Girls finals footy in our District from your efforts in Season 2027.

Girls footy development in our District is just going from strength to strength, Season after Season.

Grand Final Countdown!!!!

1 more sleep till our U17 Girls GF kicks off!!

This is going to be Huge!!!
The pinnacle game of our Districts Girls program promises to deliver in all aspects.

Cobras have had to do it the long way. Finishing the Season in 3rd, after a loss in Round 15, they regrouped to win their 1st Semi Final against Camden before just hanging on to a fast finishing Narellan side in a nail biting Prelim final. With some tough mobile forwards who get past the advantage line most carries, controlling the ruck speed and momentum will go along way in which way this game goes.

But they are up against the juggernaut that is the L.C.C Raiders. Defending Premiers. Undefeated in over 2 Seasons. Multiple Rep players, game changers all throughout their squad. Well structured and diciplined. Every Girl knows the role that they have to play to execute the game plan. 2 great teams collide tomorrow.

To all the teams playing in your Grand Final

1 weekend left of our footy Season. One last ride for the Season. One last game with your Brothers and Sisters doing what ever it takes for the jersey and giving what ever you have left in the tank for your teammates.

Every training session throughout the year was aimed for this moment. Every coat hanger, every bronco, every hill run, all the Xs and Os, all the lefts v rights repetitive drills, all the sweat drenched training sessions in the heat and the windy and wet sessions during the middle of Winter. The Grand Finalist teams paths collide this weekend. Time to create your own memories Kids!!

I just want to send my congratulations out to all Coaches, Managers, Trainers and 1st Aiders who's teams have made it to this weekend. Your Hard Work, Dedication, Drive and Belief in our Kids are the main reasons why they are playing this weekend.

To all Mums, Dads, Aunties and Uncles, Grandparents, Brothers and Sisters that will be at your Teams Grand Final this weekend. Bring the noise!! But bring the noise respectfully.

To all the District board members that will be there. One last ride for the Season. Your work is so appreciated. To all the Referees appointed for this weekend. Best of luck out there in the middle and run well on the lines. You guys are monumental to our game. Enjoy the moment!!

Grand Final Countdown!!!!

3 more sleeps till our U15 Gold GF kicks off!!

This Grand Final is going to be epic. 2 teams laced with Development players. 2 teams that are fit. 2 teams laced with players who have played many big games in their young careers so far.

With Easts and L.C.C both having a severe shortage of players committed for this Season and virtually next to no pre Season training at all, they joined forces to field a team for Season 2026.
Entering the competition in Round 3, well behind all the other teams in combinations and match fitness, they just got on with buisness. They built each week through just worrying about themselves and not any other team. With that the results came. With some excellent scoring power out wide, the points for were accumulating every week and by the end of the regular Season they finished 3rd. From there they produced 2 great finals performances including an epic Golden Point win over 2nd placed Narellan in the Preliminary Final.

But they are up against an almighty Cobras side who have been top of the table since Round 1. They are the defending Premiers. They have scored the most points in the U15 Gold comp. They have the best defence in the U15 Gold comp. This is almost a David v Goliath matchup.

Good luck to both teams. Good luck to both Coaching staffs. Best of luck to all the boys named to play. This is the time for your magical moment to happen!!!

Good Evening All!!

What a huge day!! What a great day!!!

Our 2026 Prelim finals are done and dusted. I was down at Eschol Park today and with both fields operating I was alternating between fields. A massive thank you to Dom, Si, Shane, Try and the rest of the Magpies Committee and Crew for putting on a well run day. Also thank for always going out of your way to accomodate me throughout this Season when I come down 🖤🤍

Today was a mixed bag. A couple of nasty injuries, some great individual performances, the odd sin bin and the last game of the day went to Golden Point! Commiserations to all the teams that had their Seasons ended today. 1 game short of the Grand Final will always hurt. But Kids, turn that hurt to motivation. Have a wee break next month then rip into pre Season training determined to go one better and earn that spot in the GF in Season 2027.

My final Gameday pic today is of the winning teams of the games I shot. Congratulations to you all!! But making the Grand Final is only the start. Winning it is going to take a whole lot more effort and desperation than you have ever given this year. Train smart this week. Defensive patterns will be the key. Awaiting you is the opposition that have been resting this weekend, healing all those bumps and bruises and getting ready for the battle of all battles!!!!
