Story time.
I saw Oasis back in the early 2000s. Wasn’t even a fan, just waiting for the next band to come on at a festival. And then that song came on.
Out of nowhere, I had tears running down my face. No warning, no big emotional build up, just… there. It caught me completely off guard.
The friends I was with laughed, which honestly felt fair. I laughed too, because what even was that? I couldn’t explain it then, and I still can’t now.
But some songs don’t ask for permission. They just find a way in.
And this one… it’s followed me. Popped up in the most random, unexpected moments of my life like a little echo I didn’t realise I was carrying.
And I think that’s why I love what I do so much.
Because connection is like that too. You don’t plan it, you don’t force it, it just is. The way your kids reach for you, the way you all fall into each other without thinking. It’s real and it’s instinctive and sometimes it hits you out of nowhere.
That’s the stuff I’m always chasing with my camera.
The feeling you can’t really explain… but you never forget. ✨
