One day, they'll no longer be the baby of the family 🥹🤍

But right now?

They're tiny.
They're new.
And your whole world has just changed forever.

This beautiful session was for a first-time Mum and Dad welcoming their sweet little bub into the world, alongside two very proud furry siblings 🐶🤍

It was relaxed, full of cuddles, plenty of laughs and all those little moments that new parents don't realise they'll miss one day.

The way she curled up in their arms.
The tiny fingers wrapped around theirs.
The overwhelming love that fills a home when a baby arrives 🫶🏼

That's what I love most about newborn sessions.

They're not really about perfectly posed photos.

They're about remembering.

Remembering how small they were.
Remembering how it felt.
Remembering the beginning of your family's next chapter ❤️

Because before you know it, the newborn haze fades, the sleepless nights become a distant memory and your tiny baby isn't quite so tiny anymore.

To all the expecting Mumma's out there — please don't wait for the "perfect" time.

This season is worth remembering exactly as it is 🥹🤍

Somewhere between babies, snacks, sleepless nights and school runs... I lost my style 🤭

Not in a dramatic way.

Just slowly.

One practical outfit at a time.
One messy bun at a time.
One "I'll worry about me later" at a time.

And I think a lot of Mumma's know exactly what I'm talking about 🥹

For so many years, my focus was on everyone else.

Making sure the kids had what they needed.
Making sure everyone got where they needed to be.

And somewhere along the way, I stopped asking myself what made me feel good.

Lately though, I've been coming out of those trenches of motherhood a little and trying to reconnect with who I am outside of just being Mum 🤍

Not because motherhood isn't enough.

But because I think we're allowed to be both.

A Mum.
And ourselves.

So here's your reminder, Mumma 🫶🏼

Book the haircut.
Try the outfit.
Wear the lipstick.
Do the thing that makes you feel like YOU again.

You deserve to feel beautiful, confident and seen too ❤️

Your toddler refusing shoes.

Your baby having a feed.

The wind messing up your hair.

Someone getting dirty.

None of those things worry me.

What matters is:

connection,
laughter,
cuddles,
personality,
and the people you love most.

The rest?

That's just real life.

And real life photographs beautifully 🤍

That your baby needs to sleep.

They don't.

They can be awake.
They can feed.
They can cuddle.

I've photographed hundreds of newborns and most don't sleep for the entire session.

And that's completely okay.

Because newborn photos aren't about perfect.

They're about connection 🤍

I'm not sure I'll ever be over this wedding 🥹🤍

The joy.
The laughter.
The happy tears.
The way these two looked at each other all day long ❤️

It was one of those days that felt so full of love from start to finish, and I honestly left with the fullest heart knowing I'd been trusted to capture such an important chapter in their story 🫶🏼

And can we just take a moment for these photos?! 😍

Because I am absolutely, completely, unapologetically obsessed with them 🤭

Every time I go back through this gallery I find a new favourite.

The candid moments.
The big emotions.
The tiny in-between glances that say everything without a single word.

This day reminded me exactly why I love photography so much.

It's never really about the photos.

It's about preserving the feeling.

And this wedding was full of feeling 🤍

Being part of this day was such an honour, and if I'm being honest... it also made me realise just how much I adore photographing weddings 🥹

When I look back at my childhood, there are surprisingly few photos of my mum.

Not because she wasn't there.

Because she was the one taking them/ avoiding them.

And I think so many mums are still doing exactly the same thing today.

You're documenting everyone else's memories...
while quietly disappearing from your own.

That's one of the biggest reasons I do what I do.

Because your children deserve photos of YOU too 🤍
