I rode for well over half of my life. For a good while, it was my entire life.
I do not think every day about the times I was eliminated.
I don’t lose sleep thinking about all the pathetic falls I had.
I never look back on those years and remember all the times I blew a lead.
But every single day I talk to the friends I made while I was riding, and they are still some of the closest friends I have to this day.
Life will change, priorities will change, things that looked like mountains will be grains of sand with the benefit of hindsight.
Even on the days that you walk away feeling like a loser, you might have won something more important and I promise you that matters, and will matter still years from now 🩵

Quick little post for two important updates!

First- Quirindi Eventing pics are up and ready to view + purchase ( find them in our galleries here https://www.brittgrovenorphotography.com/event-galleries-1/ ) if you haven't found those ones already, orders have started heading out already and I'll keep working on those ones each evening while we're at Harden.

That brings me to the second update...dressage bookings for Harden Horse Trials Association close at 8.30pm tonight- we will likely be only shooting booked riders for dressage once Mike heads to SJ so if you do want to make sure you have dressage pics to choose from (you don't have to pay to book and you don't have to buy them, it just gives me an idea of interest and cuts down on unnecessary work as dressage pics are pretty work and storage intensive!).
You can book those ones here
https://www.brittgrovenorphotography.com/event-bookings/

A few of the pics I've edited up from Quirindi below, and I'll get back to those ones now!

I don’t usually share sale adds because so many special ones come across my screen and I’d be at it all the time but this pony is honestly one of my favourite names to see on the draw and I’d love for him to go to a perfect home where I can keep taking my fav pics of him!
You can bet if I see his name on the draw I’m stalking him for those tight knee shots, the worlds cutest knees in canter and his lengthen!
Some child is going to be very, very fortunate- good on Karen Mackenzie-Smith & Liam & Ryan for giving him a chance to give someone else the ride of their lives even though I’m sure this will leave a massive Wally shaped hole in their family and their hearts!
If anyone is looking for an absolutely gorgeous and dynamite pony check the add out!

Barrelyn Warlord shines in the dressage is consistently clear SJ, brave and honest XC, always bringing his young rider home safely. Wally has taken both of my boys up through the eventing levels, making it fun and giving them a love of riding. Wally

People are always surprised when I point out the family house on the hill just up the road from the Harden event!
It’s my hometown event and I rode there for many years before coming back as photographer, and it’s a privilege to be able to support events like this in the new version of my equestrian career!

Albury Wodonga International Horse Trials 2026 you were looking the goods!

Thanks Bradley and crew for a fantastic event- it ran so smoothly we actually got home during the daylight on Sunday afternoon, what a win!

Curious as to how the photos turn out vs the proofs? Well here's a look at a few photos that have been sent out from the event so far!

I'm currently processing images from the XC phase of the Tuggeranong Adult Riding Club (TARC) TWODE- more on that soon!- and we'll be at the ACT Showjumping Club Melissa Mcpherson trophy round one covering everyone across both rings this coming Sunday.

Our next eventing outing will be when Mike and I head to Quirindi Eventing later in the month- dressage bookings will be available closer to the event, make sure to get your entries in so you don't miss out on these events we're at!

Life since Tamworth has been madness so I haven't gotten around to posting since getting that gallery up.

The latest gallery from this weekend past is the Albury Wodonga International Horse Trials 2026 and those ones are all proofed and ready to view on our event gallery page- https://www.brittgrovenorphotography.com/event-galleries-1/
Orders from that one will start going out tomorrow and I'll also be catching up on some orders and multiple gallery order requests from across the weekend then too.

This weekend we head to the Tuggeranong Adult Riding Club (TARC) Total Wimps ODE and then we follow it up with the ACT Showjumping Club Melissa McPherson Round 1 the Sunday next- lovely to be back out at some local comps after a few travel weekends!

More to come later but I thought I'd better pop up a post letting you know those ones were ready!

A quick (or very slow and belated really) update on Tamworth International Eventing pictures/

Unfortunately I couldn't get properly started on those ones until yesterday due to some personal circumstances that needed to be sorted, so as you'll have noticed the gallery is still MIA long past our usual upload time of the Tuesday/Wednesday after the event- I am really, really sorry about this but I've been working hard to catch up while also still juggling orders and commitments from National Capital Horse Trials Association photos the weekend prior.

The gallery is on the way with the last of the photos from across our three cameras being culled tonight with the gallery hopefully online first thing in the morning. It was just really horrible timing that meant I couldn't get these ones up in a timely manner but I hope you'll still check them out when they're up as I'm really proud of what the team got over the weekend 🩵

It’s the post we hate to make.

In fact, in nearly 7 years of charging for BGP photos we’ve had only 𝙩𝙬𝙤 price increases.

We’ve always operated on a high volume, low price sales strategy and until last year it had worked really well for us. Unfortunately, a myriad of reasons all came together at the one time and last year our sales plummeted.
At some events not only did we not break even, we actively lost money. This meant we had to seriously consider how we handle things going forward.
Fast forward to this year, prices are increasing for everything, the cost of doing business has increased exponentially, fuel is through the roof (we travel up to 8 hours for some events, that’s a lot of fuel!) and people have less spare funds than ever to spend on things like photos— it doesn’t look good. (Also, no I didn’t use AI to write this, I’ve just always loved a good em dash, en dash and a hyphen or 40 lol).
This has lead me to the reluctant decision to increase prices.
We still want to keep our prices- in my opinion- low for the service we provide and we still want to provide generous discounts for the people that support us with multiple photo purchases.
We’ve gone through and had a look at what we sell a lot of, what we don’t, where we’re missing out etc. and as a result the bigger increases are at the smaller end of the order sizes- with the major increases being to the single and 2 photo offerings.
Even those products have simply been increased to better fit into the price brackets that other media on our area operate in, but for us that still represents a hefty increase.
I know I don’t need to explain cost of doing business to anyone or how we’ve been absorbing the rapidly growing increase in it over the last few years but I can’t deny I feel bad.
I really hope you still find us great value and I’ll do what I can as always to offer the best service and value for your hard earned cash!

You will notice an asterisk on the pic below with the caveat that these prices will be reassessed mid-way through the year.
The increases that we’ve put on the prices aren’t actually enough to make up the losses we made at some events last year, these prices would still have us behind at some but I’m hoping combined with the more successful of our events this will put us in a better position overall and I think they’re a happy medium between looking after us and looking after you guys.

With that being said I do have a small fear that with the increased price of absolutely everything these days sales could potentially drop even further in the upcoming year and so once we have scoped out the sales environment in the first half of this year we will then decide whether to keep this price scheme or if further changes to pricing and operating methods are needed.

These prices will only apply to events from 17/03/2026 onwards and purchases from past events will be at the prices we had at the time of the event.

As always, our pricing structure will remain the same at every event, regardless of whether there is only us there or whether there is 50 photographers there.
We won’t price gouge when we’re the only option you have and we won’t lower prices when we’re working alongside others to undercut or be more competitive - what you can see is what you can expect, anywhere, everywhere.

For full transparency I've included our new prices with a comparison to the old prices, plus the individual photo costs so you can see the breakdown of where and what the increases are 🩵

We’ll see you out very soon, and I promise the posts from now on will be a bit cheerier and full of better news!
(Including National Capital Horse Trials Association bookings and some other exciting news for NCHTA tomorrow 👀)

Thank you as always for letting us share your journey with you and we can’t wait to get the year started!
