You may or may not have noticed I’ve been pretty quiet on here lately, truth is I’ve been sitting on some news of my own!

The final member of our family is due to complete us mid June 💛

Between shoots, editing, and the pits of hell in morning sickness I’ve found little motivation to post on instagram. So if you’ve been wondering why you haven’t seen much from me, this is why! I’m on the up now though and my days are much more enjoyable 🥰

Once we made the decision to do one more year in Canberra before our big move we decided it was the perfect timing to complete our family. So with that being said I have limited availability from now until early May when I’ll be going on maternity leave 🥰 Thank you to all of my wonderful clients for your ongoing support, I look forward to all the memories we are yet to create in these next few months together 💛💛💛

This beautiful family drove 1.5 hours for our session and I’m just so grateful and honoured!! It was such a pleasure meeting and getting to know them and I cannot get enough of little Georgie’s grin, isn’t she just so sweet?!

You don’t need to be pregnant to use any of the robes from my client wardrobe, the beautiful Irina showing us how gracefully it’s done.

I really loved this newborn session, it was windy and a bit chilly but so relaxed and I think the results speak for themselves ✨

Just take the photos. It doesn’t have to be a lot, but make sure you take them and get in them. They’re for you, and just as importantly they’re for your children ✨

One from the end of our session once all the nerves had washed away and Bens legs had a break from his workout getting down on one knee 💍 a special session that I will cherish and the best surprise! Loved getting to know this family and document this milestone in their lives 🥰

Everyone asks me when the best time for a newborn shoot is. My answer is whenever feels right for you. For me it’s not about capturing the perfect sleeping newborn wrapped up in a ball - if that’s your thing that’s great, but to me it’s about capturing your transformation into parenthood. How you held them, how you smelt them, the way your finger was totally engulfed in their grasp. Ultimately my goal of our shoots is so that in 50 years time your child can look back at these images and know exactly how loved they were.

Little moments of safety and security like this. One moment you’re running around out of your mind, and the next you’re playing with mums hair while telling her all the things you love about her (like that she makes you food), or a quiet moment in dads arms. These are the moments I want you to remember when you look back on these days spent with your children 💛

I’ve randomly looked out the window while editing today and have seen a whale breach three times. Three! But every time I sit and watch for them there’s nothing to be seen. How does that even happen? The off chance I look out and get to see something so amazing by chance, but eagerly awaiting another breach leaves me staring at nothing but a vast ocean. I’m sure there’s a life metaphor in there somewhere 🤔😅

I’ve been lucky enough to capture a couple of friends in their motherhood journeys while away for the long weekend, here is just a snippet 🥰

The Mediterranean location of my dreams with the sweetest people for this family shoot 😍

I always say there’s no “right time” for a family shoot, and you don’t need an excuse you just need to book it in to get those memories captured. The reality is we only live once and these moments are fleeting. I truly have the most special job because the best part about it for me is memory preservation. The fact that I get to help you do this is wild and always so special 💛
