See ten photographs from Aishah Kenton's book 'I Love You' as part of HERstory opening tonight at M16 Artspace - a stellar exhibition and line-up of female identifying artists. Unfortunately we're overseas and won't be able to make it, but wishing everyone a great night.

I Love You. (2018)Nur Aishah Kenton. It never occurred to me that photography could exist so close to home. I never realised that photographs made my one-bed room rented apartment could lead to a body of work. But in 2017 I fell in love and with that love came a new way of seeing and appreciating my....

TPR Gallery closes at Old Bus Depot Markets -

After three years at Canberra's Old Bus Depot Markets, we have made the decision to close TPR Gallery's physical gallery space. We are grateful to all the photographers, artists, and gallery visitors who have shared our journey over the past few years in Kingston, and before that at The Artists' Shed in Queanbeyan.

There are too many people to thank who have contributed to the gallery's last three years. Firstly a big thank you to all the artists and photographers who decided to jump in and join the gallery in 2016. The gallery would never have been possible without your support and enthusiasm.

A big thank you to Alberto Florez at Cre8ive for all his support in producing the great catalogues that accompanied the exhibitions and to Bytes 'n Colours for printing them (often with requests of next day turnaround....). Thank you to CR Kennedy for their continued support with Ilford paper and to Chris and Hugh at Eden Road Wines who sponsored the gallery's opening for the past three years. We wouldn't have been able to put on the shows and events that we did without help from these people and organisations.

Over the past eight years we have curated exhibitions by local, national and international photographers and artists, and we will continue to work with selected photographers to promote their works, as well as spending more time on our own photography projects.

Photography is in a very interesting space and we continue to think about how best to present it in an engaging way. For now though, it's time to hit the road and look through our own viewfinders for a while.

We will keep the TPR Gallery website going and will continue to send out newsletters with info on new projects and exhibitions, so we're not completely disappearing....

With that, we wish you a wonderful and happy 2019 and hope that your year is filled with love, family, friends and art.

Thank you,

Sean Davey

TPR will not open be re-opening at the Old Bus Depot Markets in 2019.

The TPR Gallery website will remain live and updated with news and other goings on, but for the next little while we will exist only here online, taking a break from the physical side of things to focus on our own projects.

After eight years of putting on shows - starting at The Artists’ Shed in Queanbeyan in 2011 - we have now closed our doors at the Old Bus Depot Markets.

We wish to thank all the photographers and artists we have worked with over the years and we look forward to what 2019 and beyond has to offer.

Happy New Year to everyone from TPR Gallery.

Happy Christmas to everyone and a safe journey into 2019 from TPR Gallery.
