In June this year, I had the privilege of photographing some mouth-watering dishes crafted by the incredibly talented Head Chef, Andy Park, at Contentious Character Winery
I am also honored to announce that these images have been selected for the Foodelia International Food Photography Awards in their 105th Collection. With over 30 awards, I am now ranked as a Grand Member!

is an Urban Winery located in the Dairy Flat Precinct in Canberra. Don’t miss out on their delicious winter menu!

The first image is of Succulent Half Shell Scallops with Anchovy butter, Camembert cheese, and a garnish of fresh dill and the second dish is an exquisite dry-aged duck breast with barley, pumpkin jus, Witlof, and pickled Shimeji mushroom with a dill and parsley garnish.

Did you know that today (or tomorrow 4th July EST) is National Caesar Salad Day? Created in Mexico in 1924 with a hint of Italian heritage, the Caesar Salad celebrates its 100th Birthday! The beauty of this recipe is that you can substitute almost anything in it. I love the texture and crunch of the cos lettuce, the creamy egg protein, the salty bacon, I use ranch dressing and toast wholemeal bread then cut it up into croutons. Finally the umami of parmesan sprinkled over the dish. I added roast chicken breast to make it a filling lunchtime meal all on its own.

I was so excited to have the opportunity to work with the National Gallery of Australia, Canberra photographing some very talented choreographers and dancers to promote their upcoming performance, A Sun Dance, created by artist Rochelle Haley.

A Sun Dance is a free, ticketed performance. Drop in anytime between 9.30am – 4.30pm to experience the work.

What?
𝘈 𝘚𝘶𝘯 𝘋𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 is a durational performance tracing the passage of sunlight through the building over the course of a day. The changing light conditions offer an evolving set for the dancers as they cycle between set phrases of choreography and improvisation.

I had a lovely evening photographing the reception hosted by Andrew Barr ACT Chief Minister and Community Services Directorate last night. The staff worked so hard to put together a fabulous event that truly celebrated the festival of light. The guests wore magnificent colorful outfits and the performances by local entertainers were amazing! India In Australia (High Commission Of India, Canberra)

Such a privilege to have had the opportunity to photograph the ACT Government Community Services Directorate 2023 Multicultural Awards last night. The award recipients were so inspiring and the performances by Canberra Breez Islander Dance group, Canberra Hellenic Dance Group, Johnny Huckle and the Chinese community choir were amazing! Well done to all the organisers and Tara Cheyne MLA Minister for Multicultural Affairs, for hosting such a fabulous evening.

Happy Monday everyone! Let me ask you, what is better than spaghetti? Pancake Spaghetti of course! I tried to replicate a traditional pasta dish photo, instead of parmesan I topped the dish with grated white chocolate, I used raspberries instead of tomatoes, mint leaves instead of basil and Maple Syrup, just because..

Trying out some off-camera flash photography with these gorgeous Dahlias. I placed a light behind tilted slightly up to create a definition between the subject and the background and I even tried out some complementary colours with a textured blue fabric.
I hope you like them! A little bit of brightness in the middle of our Australian winter. GODOX

I had lots of fun making this Drink Splash image using Altina Drinks LeBlanc White Non alcoholic wine yesterday. I got a taster pack from them with white, red and sangria cans and OMG they are Yum! This local company started with an innovation grant from the ACT Government and now they ship all over Australia. Perhaps grab some to get through !

Once the ACT NSW border opened we got to visit another Cherry farm near Young and harvested our own fresh Cherries! Thankfully I have the Cherry/Olive Pitter from Thermomix in Australia to help me out in removing all those pits! (we did it by hand last year, I don't recommend it)
