These apps are ok if the scan you have is the only one you’re ever likely to get, it uses AI to restore what it thinks was there. Unfortunately, AI is well in its infancy. A good re-scan would solve the problem instantly and in many of the app ad's they crossfade between a poor and a good scan to show how the app works... The comments are usually worth a read for some comic relief....

I can scan pictures properly and do it quite cheap... (well cheaper than most of these apps)
