It’s here! It’s finally time to share with you the book project that we have been dreaming and scheming and styling and shooting for the past three years - FACTORY CONVENT SCHOOLHOUSE HOME, published by Artisan Books and with words by Michelle Crawford is coming out this October! Our book is a celebration of homes that weren’t always homes to begin with. Where curious and creative humans have transformed utilitarian and unusual buildings as beautiful and soulful places to live. We travelled all over the world to pull together interiors and stories that inspired us most. Within its pages you’ll find a mattress FACTORY in Melbourne, Australia (Lynda’s never seen before newly renovated home!); a medieval CONVENT in Tuscany, Italy, reshaped by a truly visionary mother and daughter team; the vibrant rescuing and redesigning of an abandoned SCHOOLHOUSE in Merida, Mexico; plus 19 more gorgeous spaces from across Europe, Australia, Japan and the USA that people now lovingly call HOME.

We can’t wait for this book to be out in the world and hope that you can get your hands on a copy to pour over the pages and soak up all its delicious images, stories and inspiration.

Preorders for our book are now open! The link is in our bios.

Welcome in!

10 years ago, just a few days shy of my 30th birthday, I flew to the north of Sweden to dine and stay , ’s then well prized restaurant (it’s closed now). It was the most generous gift from my late and very dear friend Beth Kirby | Local Milk. A gift that totally blew my mind and guided me into the best decade yet. I’ll never ever forget my first ever food and wine pairing - especially the chardonnay with ‘Atlantic crab in a very good cream’, the choreography of the waiters delivering the dishes to each table, and running up the hill outside the tipi after dinner, very full and happy, Jämtland glowing all around me in the midnight sun. The photos are somewhere, I really should dig them up again.

A couple of weeks ago, just a few days shy of my 40th birthday, I booked in for Ned the dog and I to dine and stay at , Magnus’ new restaurant and hotel in the south of Sweden. It was ridiculously beautiful and delicious. The staff were so welcoming and added so many thoughtful touches. It was a total immersion into all the best Swedish things - produce, design, hospitality and purpose that is greatly inspired. Again, I was totally blown away. The langoustines, that bright pink raspberry sauce, the cupboard full of bath robes and shelves of clogs to take to the beach, the little ‘F’ embroidered on all the linens, our room with an extended sun room whose windows could all be opened to let in the summer Skåne air, everyone’s love for Ned, and just like Fäviken, the breakfast the next morning was next level exciting. I also got some buns from the bakery before I left to take as road trip treats to continue my birthday adventure up north. It was the best way I could ever imagine bookending this most magical decade of mine. Here’s to the next best.

Take me to the most remote corners of this planet to make photos of incredible experiences in nature and I’ll be the happiest photographer there is.

Thank you On Board - Tasmanian Expedition Cruises for inviting me back to Port Davey in Southwest National Park this past February, for your lush and generous hospitality, and for the way you share and honour the history, delicate landscape and magic of this beautiful far away place.

Roma!
A short, beautiful, bookend trip in May, and the first time ever with my camera.

Smells like: ancient dust and evening jasmine
Sounds like: scooters and the secrets of side streets
Tastes like: gelato shared with strangers and retrobottega rooftop
Feels like: golden light and something half-remembered

And I’ve never experienced a more beautiful spring.

Forest floors of vitsippan (wood anemones), canola fields rolling down to the sea, rhubarb cake, windows open, washing on the line, fågelsångsnatten (the night of birdsong), foraging and cooking ramslök (wild garlic), evening bike rides to the lake, Valborgs day bonfire, orchards full of apple blossoms, cows and horses and sheep are out, local white and green asparagus, apple blossoms, chestnut blossoms, walls of lilac and clematis, and nightingales at midnight.

I’m living in fairytale land.

Stockholm, you are perfect in the spring.

Butterfly ranunculus, a new moon in Aries, that denim jacket, wild chives, sweet Carry, night bike rides, shooting stars, the first lilac, pancake chats, Pretty Girl, the dream scarf on spring loan. Fügung - now forever in my word treasure.

Always meet your heroes. Especially when they are as warm and welcoming as Marieke and Laura and Nora of . From a very lovely Saturday in Berlin where I serendipitously found myself watching these three make pretty and delicious in Laura’s apartment, ready to host . I was immediately transported to a past Instagram life - a slower time of gatherings and table settings and excitedly photographing quiet bts moments. Beautiful, connected, inspiring and oh so nice.

One of the best parts of living in Europe is being able to jump on a train to meet up with one of my bestest friends halfway between her place (Switzerland) and mine (Sweden) for a semi spontaneous, somewhat random, weekend in Hamburg.
