Hey my amazing Dallas area, Wichita Falls area and Oklahoma City area friends!!

I'm going to be there from December 15th (6 days!! Eeek!!!) until January 12th.

Anyone needing photos updated? Do you have the WHOLE family coming for Christmas? Do you have children under the age of 12 and haven't had family photos in more than a year and a half?

Let's do this!!! Unfortunately I won't be able to supply photos for Christmas, but can ensure you have gorgeous memories to hang on your wall!!

And before anyone asks, yes, you can absolutely bet that we're having our family photos taken as well!! I practice what I preach, and it's been 5 years since our last session!!

Please feel free to tag friends or share the post with them if you know they also need to update their photos!

If there is enough interest in one place, I can look at booking mini sessions, otherwise these would be full sessions up to an hour long with a minimum of 50 digital images in your gallery. Such a great way to get updated family photos, and I PROMISE I will do my best to make sure EVERYONE (we all know kids, toddlers especially, and dads are hard to keep interested!) has a fun time! Often I hear my families comment on how fast the hour went and how much fun the had and didn't expect!

A few weeks ago, one of the lovely mums I have photographed quite a few times with her 4 daughters, asking me if I was available on the16th of November.

Thankfully I was, and asked Megan "time to update the family photos again?"

Megan replied... and her reply had my jaw hitting the ground!!!! She was asking because she and her then fiancee were eloping and getting married that day!!! I was soooooo excited for her, she's such a sweet and funny person, and I was SO glad that I'd get to be apart of her special day!!

Michelle Bailey Celebrant "Shellibrant" did an AMAZING job, everything was so laid back, with only 6 people in attendance, and was just awesome, with a champaign celebratory drink with the car boot open and using plastic cups!

If you're getting married and just want a quiet event, minimal people, minimal planning, minimal fuss, but wanting photos to capture that happy event in your life, PLEASE reach out to me!! I LOVE small weddings and elopements!! I also can HIGHLY recommend Michelle Bailey Celebrant "Shelibrant," who was lively and fun, and really made the ceremony special!

Bonus of an elopement, your back can become a table for you to sign your marriage certificates on! (though Michelle had ALL equipment necessary with her, but the consensus was keeping it as easy as possible!)

Megan and Adam, I am so over the moon happy for you, and so glad you found each other!! Thank you SO much for including me on your special day!! (also Megan, your dress ROCKED!! Between the puffy sleeves (and OMG POCKETS!!!)

This may look like I'm just making a weird face while being wrapped in a towel, even though I'm fully clothed.

Buuuut.... there are actually 3 foster kittens (who are in the witness purr-tection program, but believe me, these babies are SO cute!!) in this photo! They wanted to snooze on me, but I'm working on getting a sneak peak out, which is a HUGE secret I've been holding in!! So the compromise is the towel tucked under my arms to hold it tight, so the kittens can snooze on me, while I also have both hands free to edit!!

Who says extended family portrait sessions have to be boring?!?

I met the lovely Baker family yesterday, for a rare occurrence when there were ALL able to be together!! It was chilly and windy, but you would never be able to tell! This fun family had me laughing just as hard as they were, and we all had a blast making new memories for them, while capturing the fun on camera!

This afternoon, I was honoured to meet this gorgeous pup and his family.

While Mattalie Photography is no longer taking family sessions, I've been working on a project to change this business into a Memorial Service, in honour of my late husband, Matthew.

If your family is going through a terminal diagnosis, whether it be for a person or pet, I have limited spaces available for sessions. These sessions are at no charge, as I've been gifted photos from when I lost loving husband, Matt, as well as when I lost my sweet Polly cat.

I understand how important photos are for you to have to hold on to, and I offer these sessions so you have no barriers in having beautiful photos to remember your loved ones with.

If you're in a situation where a loved one will be passing, or a pet is at the end of their life, please reach out to me.

I want to make sure everyone that I can help has the opportunity to capture these precious moments, that I understand are so treasured.

Please feel free to share this with anyone who may need my services! You deserve to have photos to remember your loved ones, and I understand how important this time is for you.

Those of you who know me personally, know I LOVE chickens!!! Unfortunately my 4 lovely little ladies have all passed away, but man, we had some adventures together in our back yard!

I was SO excited to be assigned a chicken to photograph for the Domestic Violence Crisis Service ACT annual pet calendar!! Brianetta was a beautiful fluffy girl, with a BIG attitude... She wasn't a fan of the paparazzi, so I was only allowed to get a couple photos of her, but one of her sisters decided to play along to let me get a couple more photos!
