Our Rule #1 for buying ugh boots and slippers is: only buy for yourself in person. Here's a good example of why:
This lovely customer wanted long black lace up ugh boots. We didn't have any in stock, so we made a pair for her, specifically crafted to fit her. None of the long ugh boots in her size fitted well at the top, so we made adjustments on her pair. When she came in for a fitting, she could feel one side seam on one boot press against her foot. It would probably have been ok in the long term as the leather softened, but we didn’t want to take the chance. So we made another pair for her with the seam on the outside and these worked much better.
This is the work we want to do for you. We don’t put our heart and soul, blood sweat and tears into this business just to make as many sales and as much money as we can. It’s never “just a sale”.

Hi everyone for those that don’t know me I am Lisa the manager and soon to be owner of Flowers from The Garden! Very camera shy and not a fan of self promotion, I prefer to let my flowers do the talking. I have been managing the florist since 2010 and started originally as a casual in 1990! I have taken a huge leap of faith to continue providing our amazing loyal customers with beautiful blooms. We will continue for now in our current location until the end of May and then hopefully open in a beautiful new location by July. I hope you can all continue to support our little flower shop online or instore. I will take over on Monday ready for a huge week leading into Mothers Day we will be working slightly shorter hours but will post new hours separately. Thanks to everyone for all the love and support in the past few weeks it has been amazing.

It’s been an incredibly tough couple of weeks for us at Cafe Stepping Stone.

Our Dickson location has been targeted by multiple thefts and in addition to this, we have incurred higher operating costs as we onboarded 18 migrant and refugee women with no prior work experience in the last 6 months

Your support is now pivotal in helping us to continue to offer training and employment opportunities to these women, who face some of the highest barriers to entering the Australian workforce.

Running a cafe that focuses on employing some of Canberra’s most marginalised individuals is nearly three times as expensive. The investment in training and development is about triple that of standard cafe staff. Although these costs decrease as our employees gain experience, we support them to find other jobs and we employ new staff which remains an expensive commitment.

Did any of these flags show up at your place over the holidays?

If so we'd love to have a chat.

During the holidays our school had a number of break ins occurring on Saturday 4th, Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th of January. All instance appear to be the handy work of kids rather than sophisticated criminals. Beside the pointless damage that was done, these flags were also stolen from the school during the break ins. We are hoping they might assist us in find the perps.
