We need your help urgently! We have 10 babies on our waitlist for cots right now and not a single cot left to give out!

Do you have a cot lying around in great condition (and less than 15 years old)? Please send it our way!

Can you imagine having brought a baby home or relocating quickly due to domestic violence and having nowhere to put your baby to sleep safely and get rest yourself? We hear stories of mums not sleeping due to the stress of not being able to put their baby to sleep in a safe, clean cot or bassinet. Staying awake worrying or watching their baby.

Getting some sleep when you welcome a new baby is priceless. Having a safe sleep space for your baby to prevent risks of SIDS, and accidental falls or injuries is essential.

Every baby deserves a safe clean space to sleep and we need your help urgently to make that happen!

If you have a cot that meets the following criteria, please send it our way:

- Less than 15 years old
- Purchased in Australia
- No damage, splits or chunks removed from the wood (a small number of teething marks are fine)
- Mattresses must be stain free.

If you have questions, please reach out with a photo of your cot and we can confirm if we can take it.

We accept donations at our space at 80 Beaurepaire Cres, Holt during the following times:
Mondays: 10am – 1pm
Tuesdays: closed
Wednesdays: 10am – 1pm
Thursdays: 10am – 1pm
Fridays: 10am – 1pm
Saturdays: 1pm – 4pm.

Yes yes yes!!!

The ladies at Pop the Kettle On are fantastic. To anyone with a lovely newborn, I highly recommend reaching out for some extra support. They work wonders and really care about helping mummas feel confident.

Newborn babies need a lot of sleep. In fact, they usually sleep between 16 and 17 hours a day. However, their sleep patterns are not the same as older babies or adults.

Newborns sleep in short bursts, usually between 2 to 4 hours at a time. This is because they need to feed frequently, and their small tummies can only hold so much at a time. As a result, they often wake up during the night to eat.

"There are hard days in parenthood, but looking at your sleeping baby reminds you why it's all worth it."

Today is kind of bittersweet. My website will go offline later on today and it's left me feeling a million things. I feel a bit sad that this little corner of the internet will no longer exist with a collection of the beautiful images I've created. If the website isn't there did it even happen lol. Mostly though after wandering through the galleries one last time, I feel so proud of what I achieved and the beauty I captured for so many families. The strongest feeling of all is gratitude - for people trusting me to create lifelong memories for them.

No regrets about retiring but if it's okay with you guys, today I'm going to be all up in my feelings......much love Lisa xx

Go check it out one last time - www.lisakellyphotography.com

Missing newborn session goodness with sweet little ones. Not missing standing on ladders (and falling off) capturing tall dads though😂.

That was such a wonderful way to spend my days. Such a lucky lady I was 😊

Hi all - can any of my amazing friends and clients help out with prams or car seats?

We need your help! We need 11 prams and 10 carseats for newborns for babies due in March. We want families to have these items before baby is born so they can feel ready and prepared for baby's arrival.

One mum on our waitlist is 36 weeks pregnant and just arrived in Canberra after escaping domestic violence interstate. She and he older child have found a room to stay but had to leave everything she had collected for the baby behind.

If you have a pram or carseat suitable for a newborn we're here ready to take it off your hands. If you're unsure on whether it can be donated - contact our team via messenger.

Car seats must be manufactured after February 2015 and not have been in an accident so please check the manufacture date stamped or sticker on the plastic shell.

Last ever photoshoot on the last day of the year. Seems a great way to finish up my photography career if you ask me. Baby No 4 for this family but baby No. 8 for the extended family that I’ve captured. I will miss all the precious baby cuddles and toddler giggles and sweet tweens and moody teens but I won’t miss the super hot studio (see my sweaty glow post session).

I guess I’ll have to change my Instagram name now to something less impressive like Lisa Kelly Lady of Leisure or Lisa the Couch Potato 😂

What will the next chapter be? I guess we will see what 2023 brings won’t we. Happy New Year 🎉

Well after 17 wonderful years and a 3 month "FAREWELL TOUR" that was filled with laughter, amazing moments and even some tears....I'm finally finished!

I still have a few orders to work on and one sneaky last minute newborn on NYE but tonight I feel like I'm 95% done so it seemed like a good time to say:-

Thank you to all of the families who let me be a part of the most wonderful moments of your parenting journey. From pregnancy to newborns to toddlers, tweens and those "fun" teenage years - I have loved every minute of it. I hope the images I captured for you will always make you smile. Trusting me with the special moments along the way was such a gift.

Running the studio from home allowed me to be home for my children so much more than I could've been working for someone else. When they were sick I could be with them, taking them to and from school everyday, I didn't miss a game, a presentation, a play, a morning tea, a dress up, a concert. I thank you my fantastic clients for making this possible for me as a mother. I'm sure one day my kids, who are young adults now, will look back and realise how lucky they were. I already know how lucky I was.

Shout out most especially to those early clients who I photographed in my loungeroom and in my grungy garage before the studio came to life. Thank goodness you had faith in the end product and continued to support me. I have had so many repeat clients who just continued to believe in me. Honestly it is the most incredible compliment when clients return to me over and over and over. The record is 9 sessions with one family but there are quite a few that have been here for 6,7 and 8 sessions. Some families recommended me to their siblings so I've captured whole generations. I've made friends along the way that I hope to continue to enjoy and most of my clients came from word of mouth which is the greatest gift.

Working with children sounds like a nightmare to some people but for me it was a dream come true. I only let parents come along because they hold the purse strings haha. From the tiniest to the biggest, all the kids are so great. They make you laugh, they can be cheeky, they can even be a little naughty but they are always fun. Since I am basically a kid myself I think it was a fabulous fit and I always seemed to be able to find a way to connect with each and every one of my kid clients. There have been stressful moments but mostly those were how the parents were feeling wanting their little ones to be perfect but for me I knew we would get those amazing images in the end so I never got worried.

I hope my LKP families will continue to send me updates over the years. I promise I will never get sick of hearing about how the kids are and how much they've grown. Not gonna lie, I had a few moments during the Farewell Tour where I thought "hey have I pulled the pin too soon, this is still so fun, maybe I could do a John Farnham" hahaha, but I know it's the right time. Always end on a high note they say and I have ended on a Mariah Carey high note!!!

I'll touch base with past clients in the new year with a final goodbye and with some lovely final special offers and goodies but otherwise that's it from me. I won't miss trying to keep up with social media which I suck at, all of the boring business stuff, I always hated the sales part too hahaha. I just wanted to take pretty pictures of kids so that will leave a huge hole in my heart now I'm finished.

Lisa Kelly Photography has been the 3rd most amazing thing I've created in my life (after my two wonderful yet slightly annoying adult children of course) and I couldn't be more proud of the journey. I hope I made you and your family feel special, if only for a moment. Love to you all xx

THAT'S A WRAP everyone......I'll see myself out!!!

The Farewell Tour continues.....I have had so many sessions with this family I've lost count but I think the first session was back before the beautiful baby of the family was born. What I do remember is that dad always shows up not looking forward to the session, giving me a hard time and he always leaves laughing. I think he secretly loves it. The kids on the other hand have displayed varying emotions about how they feel about coming for photos over the years but we always end up having fun and most importantly we always end up with great photos. In fact, my all time favourite family photo EVER was of this family. I will share it in the comments below so you can see how great the photo is.

This new family photo is pretty great too with lots more cheeky banter from the teens lol.

My final "Newborn" Session (still more family sessions to come). It couldn't have been more perfect that this was baby No. 4 for a much loved LKP family. I have captured all of their new little ones and it was heaven that this was the last one. I've told them if they have any more babies not to expect me to come out of retirement though haha.

Not gonna lie, she wasn't as sleepy as I would've liked but when you see little gems like this cheeky smile, you know it was a great session in the end. Very special to end with this family who are very dear to me.

Even though newborns are a wrap, stay tuned for the 25 families that are coming to the studio over the next few months for their last sessions. There will be tears I'm sure saying my goodbyes to all of these fave families but so long as the kids are smiling I'll be one happy photographer.

LAST CALL FOR "FAREWELL" Mini Sessions

I've been so thrilled with the response to my Retirement Announcement and even more excited about the amount of clients booking in for a Farewell Mini Session.

It's been a beautiful and emotional experience over the past few weeks.

There are only a handful of dates left so this is a final reminder that if you would love to come back to the studio for one last session, give me a shout out and I'll send you through the remaining options.

Love, Lisa ###xx
