For those of you who are new, and those who have been with me from the beginning... I wanted to introduce myself, share a little bit about who I am, and share what my goal is with this business.
I'm Racheal! A mum of two beautiful boys and, as you know... a family, maternity and newborn photographer, which I've been doing for just shy of 6 years!
I started my photography journey after my eldest son was born, and it's something I've poured my heart into ever since. What started as a love for having my own maternity and newborn photos taken, became something so much deeper.
There was something about preserving the moments that pass by far too quickly, the tiny details we wish we could hold onto forever, and the love that exists within the seasons of life we never get back that I knew I found a purpose in.
It hit me just how important those memories were... and how much I loved the process of preserving them. I'm a creative soul, always have been, and always will be! I am very much a hopeless romantic... or rather, an incurable romantic. Whatever fits! The point is, of course I was going to fall in love with photography.
Anyway... I'm not just here to take your photos. That's never the only thing I wanted this business to be. It's not about the money, it's creating something that turns into a legacy.
I don't want to take you to the same locations every other photographer goes to, pose you in front of a nice background and send you home with images that could belong to anyone.
I want to tell YOUR story.
I want to get to know you and learn about your family, the places that mean something to you, the memories you've created together, and the little things that make your family yours.
Whether that takes us somewhere meaningful, somewhere adventurous, or somewhere simple that holds a special place in your heart, that's where I want to photograph you and your family.
My goal is to create more than photos... I want to create a real experience. One where you don't feel like you're simply showing up for a session, but instead feel as though you're stepping into a moment that becomes part of your story. A memory that transcends, and allows you to return to that feeling.
I want to build relationships with the families I meet. I don't want you to just be someone who books a session with me and disappears. I want to be there through your journey and document all the moments that mean something to you. I want you to know that I truly care about what I'm offering you.
Because one day... I don't want you to just look back and see a great photo. I want you to look through the lens of your past and feel at home.
I want you to be able to tell your children and grandchildren... "Remember that place we loved? That place that meant so much to us?" and be able to show them the memories you created there.
Not just a photo of a family standing in a field... but the feeling of that moment. The love, the connection, the laughter, maybe even the tears, and to be able to see the chapter of life you were living in those memories.
At the heart of this business is preserving memories in a way that allows you to be as close as possible to the very essence of who you are, and every memory that has shaped your life and that you hold dear.
I'm not just a photographer... I am your ticket to the closest thing we have to time travel, so you never have to sit there thinking, "I wish I could go back to that"... because you can't remember what the moment looked like.
