For Mother’s Day gift 💞
I photographed a portrait of my mother, my daughter, and myself.

It’s something we do every few years. Last time we had a photo of us taken, my daughter was 12. She’s nearly 16 now. I can feel the years moving.

One day soon, she will have her own life. But right now, she is here. My mother is here. And I am here, right in the middle of these two extraordinary women. One who shaped me, and one who I am shaping in return.

When my daughter asked, “Mum, why are we doing it again?” I told her: because life is beautiful, and we are here to enjoy, remember, and celebrate it.

When my mum was my age, she hated being photographed. There are no images of mum from those years to show my daughter. Now, in her 60s, she’s the one who is eager, because she understands, in a way only time can teach you, just how precious these moments really are.

This portrait will be printed and gifted to her for Mother’s Day. Something tangible and lasting.
And truthfully…

What unfolded was one of the most powerful sessions I’ve ever held.

Diana is turning 43, and she chose to celebrate herself. Not a younger version, not a filtered version.. She came in with a simple intention: to be seen exactly as she is, because nothing about her needed to change. This experience wasn’t about transformation, it was about witnessing.. her body, her story, her energy, and recognising that every part of it is worthy of celebration. The lines, the softness, the depth… all of it. That’s not imperfection. That’s the gold.

This is what a real celebration looks like. Not a party, not a number, but a moment where you stop and say, I see myself… and I am enough. This space is about that. Where you stop editing and start seeing. And if there’s one thing I believe deeply, it’s that every woman deserves at least one image like this. Not who she was. Not who she’s becoming. But who she is right now: whole, radiant, and fully seen.

It was a birthday shoot for this stunning woman, who flew all the way from Sydney to be photographed at SEEN 🙏

Just food for thoughts.. A woman who loves herself doesn’t wait for a reason. She creates one. She books the flight, packs her favourite dresses, and steps into her power like it’s second nature.

Flying from Sydney to Melbourne, she arrives at SEEN to be photographed - not just as she looks, but as she feels: confident, sensual, elegant, and unapologetically feminine.

This is the modern woman: refined yet wild, grounded yet magnetic. She invests in herself because she knows she is the masterpiece.
