Baby Must Be:
• Sitting confidently and unassisted
• Happy, friendly and comfortable with new people and environments
• Not currently going through strong stranger danger
• Ideally not walking yet (bonus, but definitely not essential!)
• Not already booked with Me or another photographer for a Cake Smash

You Will Receive:
As a thank-you, you’ll receive 3 professionally edited digital images FREE, selected by me from the session.

Additional images will be available to purchase if you wish, however there is absolutely no obligation to purchase anything.

A model release must be signed, allowing images from the session to be used on my website, social media and advertising.

🎈 Turns out the greatest Up adventure isn’t Paradise Falls… it’s surviving a one-year-old, flying corn on the cob and complete cake-smash chaos. 😂

Milan wasted absolutely no time getting amongst it. Smiles, exploring, cake smashing, icing tasting and plenty of glorious mess followed. 🍰🙌

The cake DID get a fair trial. Milan tasted it, smashed it, sampled the icing and gave it every opportunity to impress. 🍰👌 Then the corn on the cob appeared and the competition was officially over. 🌽😂 One cob wasn’t enough either. He needed one in each hand, naturally, finishing the session like a tiny first-birthday barbecue king while the poor cake was demoted to background decoration. 👑

This gorgeous boy is the second baby boy I’ve photographed for this family, and I feel incredibly lucky to keep documenting these milestones as their family grows. 🥰📸

Another perfectly styled Cake Smash successfully hijacked by a toddler. Exactly how I like them. 😂

Step right up, because the cutest act under the big top arrived wearing suspenders and brought absolutely zero circus skills. 🎪😂🎟️

Cruz came back for his Circus Cake Smash after first visiting me as a tiny newborn only a few days old. 👶❤️ He’s the fourth baby boy I’ve photographed for this family, which means I’ve now spent a considerable portion of my career photographing their children before they can walk. 😂📸

Red and white stripes, carnival balloons, popcorn, elephants, lions and a whole crew of adorable big-top characters surrounded our birthday boy. 🐘🦁🍿🎈 Cruz completed the look with red shorts, suspenders and that little blue bow tie.

Once the cake appeared, he got busy with the spoon, icing and some very respectable cake sampling. 🎂🥄😂 Crumbs hit the floor, icing hit the shorts and my job here was officially done.

Watching another one of their newborns return as a one-year-old never gets old. ❤️📸 Four boys later, I’m starting to feel like the family photographer might be a permanent appointment.

Vienna had the crown before she had teeth, so really, this Princess Cake Smash was just the natural progression. 👑😂🎂

I first photographed this gorgeous girl when she was only days old, complete with her tiny princess crown. Mum and Dad clearly picked the theme early, because one year later Vienna was back and somehow even more gorgeous. 🥹💕👑

From newborn princess to first birthday cake smasher, getting to photograph both chapters is pretty bloody special. 📸👑 And yes, Mum and Dad absolutely called the princess thing early.

For her Princess Theme Cake Smash, we went full royal treatment with a dreamy castle, layers of pink florals, butterflies, gold details and that spectacular princess dress. 🌸🏰🦋✨ Then the cake arrived and royal etiquette became considerably less important.

Vienna grabbed the spoon, sampled the icing, pulled the cake apart and finished surrounded by crumbs while flashing that enormous smile. 🎂😂💕 Apparently castles, crowns and cake destruction can coexist beautifully.

This setup had elegance, gold accents and perfect balloon placement… all the things a one-year-old has absolutely no obligation to respect. 😂✨🎂

For Mikhael’s Blue and Gold Balloon Cake Smash, we went BIG on the birthday vibes with layers of dusty blue, baby blue, white, caramel and gold balloons, glowing ONE letters and a gorgeous blue cake to finish it all off. 💙✨🤍 It was clean, modern and beautifully coordinated, which naturally meant we needed a one-year-old to come along and ruin the neatness.

Mikhael started with some very handsome pre-cake portraits, bow tie included, before the spoon came out and the serious cake destruction began. 🥹🎂🙌 He dug straight in, pulled chunks from the top and spread little bits of blue icing exactly where blue icing definitely wasn’t five minutes earlier. 😂

Honestly, I provide the beautiful setup. The babies provide the demolition service. 📸🎈💙 It’s a highly efficient business arrangement.

Nothing says sophisticated boho quite like sneaking a mischievous little rabbit into the wardrobe and then handing the birthday boy a cake. 🐰🎂🌿

Yusef’s Boys Boho Cake Smash was packed with warm earthy tones, natural textures and beautifully simple styling, then his gorgeous vintage-style Peter Rabbit outfit wandered in and completely understood the assignment. 🥕🤎

Once the cake arrived, the respectable behaviour disappeared fairly quickly. 😂🙌 Icing was grabbed, cake was demolished, little hands got suitably sticky and my beautifully styled set officially became a crime scene involving buttercream. 🎂🌾

This is exactly why I love cake smashes. Start with a perfectly coordinated setup, add one baby and one cake, then photograph the evidence. 📸🐇😂 Works every single time.

Nothing says first birthday quite like dressing impeccably and then attacking a cake with your bare hands. 💙🎂😂

Even more special, Rhys is the THIRD baby I’ve photographed for this family. 💙 Apparently they’ve decided each new addition needs to raise the cuteness bar, and so far they’re annoyingly successful. 😂 Getting to photograph families again and again is one of my favourite parts of this job.

Rhys brought maximum charm to his Blue Boys Cake Smash, rocking the bow tie and suspenders while surrounded by soft blue bunting, gingham, paper flowers and layers of blue and white. 🩵🤍 Very polished. Very adorable. Completely temporary once the cake entered proceedings. 🍰😂

Before the destruction began, we had big smiles, floor poses, chair climbing and a little prop bed that Rhys made look far cuter than it had any right to. 🥹 Then came the wooden spoon, handfuls of icing and the beautifully sticky mess every cake smash photographer secretly lives for. 🥄😋🎉

Alexander slept through his entire modelling job and somehow still absolutely nailed the assignment. 😂🤎

No posing experience. No interest in the camera. Barely opened his eyes.

Still produced an entire gallery of ridiculously adorable newborn photos.

Sweet little Alexander was an absolute dream to photograph, with those squishy cheeks, tiny fingers and that gorgeous newborn curl that disappears far too quickly.

This is why newborn sessions are best captured while babies are still so fresh and tiny. Those first weeks are a complete blur of feeds, cuddles, nappies and wondering whether you’ve brushed your teeth today, but the photos get to keep all the beautiful bits forever.

And Alexander, you made this particular day very easy on me. 🤎

🦋🌷 Butterflies are delicate little creatures. Isabella’s approach to cake was… considerably less delicate. 😂

Sweet as a button, cheeks for DAYS, and sitting pretty amongst an explosion of pink florals, oversized butterflies and all things ridiculously girly. 🎀🌷 Isabella’s Flutter into ONE Butterfly Cake Smash was basically springtime showing off — and I fully supported it. 🦋✨

Isabella grabbed flowers, played with the butterfly props, worked those spectacular little cheeks for the camera and gave me plenty of gorgeous portraits before moving onto the important business. 📸😏

This is precisely why I love Cake Smash sessions. You can plan every flower, butterfly and tiny styling detail to perfection… and then hand a one-year-old a cake and watch them completely ignore the concept of perfection. 🦋💗

Much better.
