In that blurry time somewhere between Christmas and new year, I took my camera (and my family) for another breakfast with some of my favourite people. It’s become the official tradition, and the origin story for my love of documenting authentically.

Capturing life as it is, sometimes a little chaotic, but always beautifully real.

Slow breakfast in the home being built with love. Creative little hands in the space that will one day be their own. Seeing a playground and fun in any space.

Because I want you to look your images and smile thinking “yes, that’s us.” Memories of actual memories. That’s what makes my heart sing.

Love isn’t always loud… all smiles and big hugs.

Often it’s steadiness,
a fleeting and gentle touch,
tired parents still leaning softly into each other,
bowling what feels like the 100th cricket delivery for the day, and a home ever evolving,
a haven for growing memories.

So, to the parents of small children,
who’s days feel busy and chaotic,
I see you.
And I see the way you love softly and quietly,
all day, everyday.
