Charlesworth Bay and the Solitary Island group on the horizon. Taken 5 days ago. Don't settle for digital images only. Get them printed and up on your wall where you can gain continuous enjoyment from them. I just finished a print order yesterday for a client and this one is next - but for my own wall collection!

The storms over the last few days are starting to clear up. The hail damage in nearby locations has been the worst ever. It came over so fast I barely had time to get my car off the road and under cover. Luckily I averted major damage to the car. Got out this morning, went down to my one of my favourite stomping grounds - Charlesworth Bay and took some photos.

SEA ENERGY. This is a single photograph taken in Charlesworth Bay Coffs Harbour at dusk. I had my underwater camera positioned above and below the water at the same time while directing my lighting from above the water illuminating what lie beneath. The row of bubbles, flowing from left to right across the surface of the dome (external lens) on my camera housing are pockets of air create from the the moving water. Let me know what you think of this image?

Lavender Bay Sydney with that iconic bridge in the background. Many people prefer coloured photos to black and white but I photographed this image using the deep black infrared spectrum of light. Did you know that chlorophyll in green leaves and grass reflects infrared light so that the leaves and grass actually comes out white looking? Leave a comment if you are you interested in seeing more infrared photography.

Smooth. You can photograph moving water or you can make water move for you. The later was the case here. Photographed using the infrared spectrum of light in Mollymook - a great little seaside town on the South Coast. These type of images look great printed on metallic paper as they really pop. And I love printing as part of the photographic process. Head on over to aquaartbyzeph.com and sign up for the monthly newsletter to learn more of local and other areas.

Roaming Shells. This photo was taken in Sawtell NSW. I placed the shells in the water and then ended up chasing them all over the place as the water ebbed and flowed. I lost 2 shells that day as I couldn't keep up with the flow of water. I added another image of water to the sky and cloud formation for a more abstract look. Head over to aquaartbyzeph.com and sign up for my monthly newsletter to hear some behind the scenes news and photos.
