Adding some colour to your day with an Aurora Australis as seen through my lens, captured these down near my local just South of Mandurah, WA on Tuesday the Twentieth, 2026

It was a very mesmerising night watching the lady dance across our skies and add so much colour to the Southern Cross, now if only I could learn to sharpen those stars with this old rig.

When your phone gives you a weather alert and you have a couple batteries charged on the drone, you go outside and fly it for moments like this to capture.
Some big panoramic views here with the biggest being a 31 image stitch, with some nice HDR shots in there too, a mix of storm approaching and also heading off into the sunset, I hope you enjoy!

Adding a little colour to your feed today with a scene from the Southern lights, one of many I captured on the 12th day of November 2025

Chasing the Aurora Australis over the last couple years has shown me and taught me a lot about photography, one of those being it doesn’t matter the equipment, as long as you’re capturing it and enjoying the moment while it lasts, for it’s a fleeting moment, however the affects can last a lifetime.
So instead of boring you with camera model, settings and how I captured this scene, just know it was captured to the best of my abilities with what was at hand, I hope it’s imperfections bring joy and colour to your day as this is my vision and I hope you enjoy ☺️
