Opening this Friday at Yarrila Arts and Museum (YAM) in Coffs Harbour (NSW-Australia) is Halfway. This is a signature exhibition of YAM that explores the duality of Coffs Harbour as a place and non-place, a town where the highway dominates the city’s rhythm.
The exhibition explores how distance, time, speed, and space shape people’s perceptions of a place. Halfway embraces the evolution of Coffs Harbour by using contemporary art to explore the impact of major infrastructure projects and reflect on its shared history.

I’m excited to exhibit some work from the Roadside Memorials series along with some of Australia’s most prominent contemporary artists including some of my personal favourites: Reg Mombassa, Gerwyn Davis and Blak Douglas. This group show encompasses commissions, loans and items from the gallery and museum’s collection. YAM is also host to STILL: National Still Life Award. I was a finalist in the STILL prize back in 2017 and I had my work acquired by the city collection.

A quick video from my photography workshop at Charles Sturt University in Port Macquarie. I just received the feedback from the participants and I feel humbled.
Some words from the participants highlighted what they liked the most and I couldn't agree any more: Learning useful skills; being with other artists; that it was free; casual atmosphere; personalised solutions; small group; great venue; very professionally presented; interesting presenter.
