Similar set up tonight with another gulf line coming through, headed to the same spot but missed the earlier cell that put out some very nice bolts. Had to make do with the sloppy mess that was left. This time of year ill take what I can get

The final set of keepers from tonight. Lots of bolts caught on camera, lots more missed!

A nice gulf line produced the goods late this evening. Similar set up to last night, and once the gulf line got into a patch of high cape it started dropping some nice cg's

Mikes turn to make the decisions tonight after my failure and subsequent relegation to tag along after last night...day 3 has potential. Spent the morning doing the final recon on shooting locations in preparation. Hoping it holds off long enough to give us the big night stuff we're after

Day 2 of the Big Rivers Chase was a bit of a disappointment. Obs were better and the day was a lot warmer. Headed out early with a drive to Katherine River Gorge and Florina to scope out locations based on the night before, as the day looked like a better version of yesterday. Spent the day watching the clouds cooking and cells started popping up around Pine Creek and Mataranka. The trough had given Darwin and most places big storms earlier in the afternoon and these big storms put out anvils which eventually blanketed us, killing any hope we had of something decent. Saw a few bolts but all obscured by cloud in front.
