Just you wait… we’ve all heard it. Usually said as a well meaning warning.

But if there’s anything motherhood has taught me, it’s that every stage just happens. It stays for a while, and then it leaves. Most often quietly, making way for the next and never noticed until it’s well and truely gone.

The missing tooth.
The baby curls.
The chubby cheeks.
The tiny fingers.
The way they look at you when you’re their entire world.

These aren’t moments that you can just photograph someday.

These are the moments you’ll wish you captured today.

Oh heyyyyy how are we?

Accidentally regressed on my social media game to be honest it’s because I’m a lil bit (very) tired. And the tricks you’ve got to turn for anyone to see content these days is insane.

If you’re new here: hey I’m Gab. Mum to 4, sometimes teacher, sometimes photographer, sometimes I don’t know if I’m Arthur or Martha. And that’s the current season I’m in.

There are so many plans I have for this lil biz, that I feel I could execute after 6 hours of sleep. For those that are not new here, you’ll know it’s been a battle to reach that goal since 2018.

To help with said plans, lemme know why you follow.. is it the newborns, the families, the minis, the weddings, the laughing at my misfortunes or just happy to know you’re not the only person up 827473 times a night?

And I’m yet to learn how to coffee, it feels like the goal I once had of running 5kms with my dodgy ankles, seems like a good idea, mostly likely is not.

Mother’s Day. It’s always a wild ride. Cute kid craft, kinder kid making Mother’s Day gifts, for Dad, breaking up fights and questioning my life choices.

I’ve LOVED seeding and being tagged in some gorgeous photos today. So thought it was to update my own.

Honestly, this is why I outsource it. My own kids are something.

And hey 👋 if you’re new here, yes there are 4 of them. Yes they’re all the same dad, yes we have a TV, and yes they’re reasonably close in age, no they’re not planned, yes I’m tired. All the time. But so very lucky.

Sorry to our neighbours for the absolute chaos that is afternoons / evenings in the backyard. Thank you for not making a noise complaint.

To the mums soothing big feelings while hiding their own,
To the mums who are loud, gentle, funny, tired and everything in between,
To the mums raising wild humans with soft hearts,
To the mums who make the ordinary days feel like home,
To the mums who worry they’re not doing enough but their kids think they’re the best mum ever,
To the mums who haven’t been in the photo enough,
To the mums who nearly didn’t book the session because life felt too much,
To the mums whose love shows up in a thousand tiny invisible ways,

These are for you.
The hugs, the smiles, the chaos, the tenderness, the in-between moments.

Weekend 3 of Mumma and Me Minis! The lucky last (minus the catch ups). Ballarat did what it does best and played the wild card for the weather. But it didn’t stop these gorgeous Mummas and their babes being super flexible and nabbing the best parts of the weekend.
