"Australia Day" ... means all sorts of things for all sorts of people, which is why I've put quotation marks around the title ... it's good for some, and not so good for others ... I'll not add to the debate except to say, I'm sure the original idea of a celebration of a nation was well intentioned ...

Photographically speaking, right time right place - for once!
On a tram, early morning, headed for the CBD of Melb, at the time not awake to the fact the day/date was actually "Australia Day" (2014)
Just happened to look left, as the tram crossed the Yarra River ... and couldn't get off it quick enough!!!
