Beautiful red-headed executive. I took these headshots with one hand controlling the camera and other hand holding a light above my head. We were in a very crowded CBD Sydney street. But I delivered the goods.

A great relaxed headshot in natural light. Actually this was taken in a kitchen. Taken of a lawyer who didn’t want to look too corporate.

Another wonderful photo shoot with Preston. Incredible natural light streaming through some sheer curtains on to a concrete wall. You can’t go wrong with that.

Preston is a wonderful model. He came over from the States to Sydney. He had to model at numerous photo workshops for a week and he did so well. I lucked out with the light here. Natural light and concrete, you can’t go wrong.

Photography means painting with light. I took that literally when I attended a Sony boat cruise for Vivid. As you a bobbing around the whole time, it can be difficult to get a focused shot. So I went off piste and embraced the conditions, using a slow shutter speed and moving my camera when I press the button. I managed to create some quite arty farty shots of the Opera House and Bridge. It was a lot of fun.

I just got interviewed for a podcast about my photography business. Where I talk with Kurt Sneddon about how I started in the business 5 years ago and my journey along the way. Kurt was a great podcast host and is a very talented actors headshot photographer himself. His intro to the podcast was very kind and it was interesting to see how he sees my approach to photography. Hopefully it's inspiring to listen to, or you can just have a laugh.

Very subtle play with light. The shadows contribute so much to this shot. Great to try out the Sony A7r6 and the 50-150 F2 lens. I just have to buy them. The quality is superb!!! Next level
