Nathan Wills Photography

Nathan Wills Photography Dunsborough living, Landscape Photographer. Photographing what I see to share with you! This was the beginning of something that had never even crossed my mind.

It all started when my older sister decided to get a little Canon 500D, I obviously had to get something equal to her, so decided to get myself the next model up, a Canon 550D. I started fiddling about with the new camera taking just your average happy snaps, not really having any idea on how to use it at all. A good mate of mine Daniel had a Canon 40D, and so we would go out every now and

then and shoot landscapes and different things, and I started to get this feeling for it, Googling everything about how to use a camera
and what each function does. Then came more spending, I got my first after market wide angle lens, a must for landscape photographers, and started going out shooting all the time, experimenting with what I had heard and read online. I had now found what I wanted to do with my life, I wanted to be a landscape photographer. Over the past two years I have just been taking more and more photos working towards that place where I feel I like the look of my shots. I would say that I am now at that place and am working on refining my style. Last year in November I had a big turning point as far as my work was concerned, when I had been part of the South West Light presentation held by Christian Fletcher, Toni Hewitt, Peter Eastway, Dr Les Walkling, Nick Rains and Michael Fletcher. I learnt so much, and picked up on things that have greatly helped me in my own work. I have spent a bit of time talking with Christian Fletcher who has always been such a huge inspiration to me. He has and still continues to help me with different things along the way. I wouldn't know him if it weren't for my sister working at his little framing shop in Busselton many years ago. I have only really just started selling a few prints, which is picking up too.

There is something very special about the far south little tip of
You can really feel the strong influence due to the shared border.
Tech Specs: Here I was shooting with the PhaseOne iQ3 100 using the BlueRing Schneider Kreuznach 80mm Mark II.
The level of detail, depth of colour and dynamic range with this beast is truly something to behold. The extra you’re able to achieve with your shots is truly second to none.
I’m really looking forward to running off some prints of this when I get back to the shop after our trip.
