Hamish Stubbs is an up and coming amateur photographer based out of Perth,

Australia that moved to Perth from Christchurch, New Zealand in August 2011. He has a real passion for the ocean and everything that resides in its depths. His

style of photography is based around the ocean but not limited to one aspect. He

enjoys shooting waves, surfers, dives, over under photos and sunsets over the


ocean are always a favourite in the summer months of Perth. He also does a lot of

travel photography around South East Asia, has recently come back from a trup to

Hawaii to swim with sharks and has a photography dream trip planned fro mid 2015

throughout the pacific. A quote that Hamish lives by after having a serious accident in 2011 is “it’s not the

years in your life that could, it’s the life in your years”. And he plans to capture as

much of life as possible with his camera.

My single favourite shot from Kenya was this moment Faulu looked straight at me through the bushes just after hunting down a warthog. The way the light hit her eye I knew instantly it was my favourite photo.

Faulu - a beautiful female Leopard that we waited 3 hours for to come down from a branch she was perched and it was worth every second.
This image was taken about 10 minutes after she came down when I thought we were headed back to camp and then we pulled up and seen her sitting in the rain that had set in, eyes locked in on us! Soon as I looked at the image preview and seen her eyes piercing through the frozen rain drops I knew it would be one of my favourite images from Kenya maybe ever!

What an honour to see these beautiful animals in there natural habitat

Nature's incredible beauty in action! 🐆 Witnessing Nashipae, a cheetah mum and her 4 adorable cubs in the Maasai Mara was unforgettable in itself, but then we saw Nashipae take down a Thompson gazelle, then something truly special happened 2 days later - she brought a baby gazelle to her cubs without killing it, allowing them to practice their hunting skills by chase it round.

It's moments like these that remind us of the magic and brutality of the wild.
