All the cool kids have thumb brakes. Being able to use a thumb brake has been on my mod bucket list for years and I finally have one now. I have always been terrible (and lazy) with using the rear brake. The rear brake can be a very powerful tool if used correctly. Being able to drag a little rear brake with precision can drastically improve your line mid corner and using your thumb instead of your foot is so much easier and more precise. Being able to leave your foot in the "attack position" without having to constantly moving also saves energy which may not seem that important but over the course of a race can be very beneficial. I got a good chance to test it properly on a fast flowy mountain road on the weekend and I'm in love. I now find myself using both brakes more effectively. This hasn't really been a plug and play but it's worth the effort. I still have a couple of parts to fit to make the brake light work correctly but once I do I will list all components used to build your own setup. *************************************************

Another week or so until I can ride the T7 😔. Suspension is out and getting send for the Teknik treatment this week. Hopefully the graphics kit will be here soon as well and then the build is basically finished.

Can't wait to get away for a long overdue weekend away on the 10 and give the new Hepco&Becker luggage a proper test. I think I've lined one up soon. Also the T7 gets pulled apart AGAIN for the suspension to get upgraded at Teknik Suspension next week.....AND the MT10 gets put on the dyno the week after. Busy times.

FIRST LOOK at the new Hepco & Becker C-bow side carrier for the 2022 MT10/SP
Hepco&Becker were generous enough to send me these for free for an honest review and test of the system. I have to say first impressions are very good. I'm a massive fan of things that "just work" and these tick that box. I am genuinely impressed how easy the bags are to fit and remove. 1 key lock on the top and they slide straight off. Combined with the "Lock-it" holder for the rear rack bag I can remove all 3 bags in about 6 seconds. I'm all about function but aesthetics are a close second and I'm happy to say that I wouldn't be ashamed to be seen with these racks without the bags. I'll be leaving these on for a few weeks I think and see how they go with regular use.
