Some family sessions are about celebrating a moment.

Others are about remembering a chapter.

This beautiful family spent six months in Sydney. Their son studied at a local school, played soccer, and almost every evening after school they would come to the Coogee steps to watch the sunset together.

Before returning home, they wanted photographs of the places that had quietly become part of their story.

The ocean. The walks. The after-school routines. The view they will remember long after they leave.

Because family photographs are not only about how we looked.

They are about where life happened.

Oh these cutie little toes and fingers, and scrunchy little face, and tiny hairs, and big wise eyes.

It always amazes me how little humans are so different from their grown up selves. I can never guess the baby “mummy/daddy-to-be” on baby showers 😅

From my observations, babies become “recognisable” selves from around 6 months, before that I would not differentiate my own kids from my newborn photos 🥹

Remember them, before they even start looking “like them” 🧡

“I came back home from deployment and here they were: 2 strangers lying on my bed.

And, to be honest, I would not have it any other way. So excited for them to meet our baby”.
