Get IN the photo. 📸💛

Can we talk for a sec, mums and dads?

You are so used to being behind the camera. Snapping the kids, capturing the milestones, documenting everyone else... and quietly stepping out of every single photo.

But one day your kids aren't going to care about a perfectly posed, perfectly smiley photo. They're going to want the ones where you're laughing so hard you can't breathe. Where you're mid-tickle, mid-chase, mid-cuddle. Where you were wading through the dam together and your boy went straight over into the water, and you couldn't stop laughing about it for the rest of the session (yes, this actually happened 😂💦).

This is what a K n J session actually looks like.

Not staged. Not stiff. Not "everyone look at the camera and say cheese." It's real cuddles, real kisses, real belly laughs, a bit of chaos, and yes — sometimes a mum absolutely losing it laughing because her son just face-planted into a dam and that's just what happens when you let go and have fun. 🥹✨

That's the bit no one tells you about family photos: the magic isn't in the pose. It's in the moment right before or right after it, when everyone forgets the camera is even there.

And don't worry little man was a trooper got up and said " I'm done" and went and got dry lol Luckily I had advised mum to bring towels with her just incase this happened lol.

Another Saturday, Sunday and Monday means another 3 shoots this weekend gone. Let's start with just a little snippet from Michelles Burclair Miniature Donkeys farm experience on Saturday. Due to privacy reasons I can not show full front facial photos of her little girl so we agreed that bluring said images would make it ok to share. I just had to share this epic sunset once again also that we had just before Winter finished for the year.
