Last week I caught up with Lucy & Ben for a chat about their wedding. Lucy contacted me through Facebook a few weeks ago wanting me to photograph her wedding in May. My first thought was let’s catch up for coffee and go through all the ideas for the day.
Well, we hit it off straight away! We talked about where they’re getting married, Who’s in the wedding party, and most of all her dress!
I loved hearing everything about what they have planned. I asked them both if I could take some photos of them afterwards, so they can get use to being in front of the camera. We plan to meet up again, a week before the wedding in Healsville to plan out the day further. I’m a little different than most wedding photographers that just turn up on the day. I plan as much as I can before the big day so it runs as smoothly as possible.

You know when you meet someone and you instantly click with no barriers?
Well, when I met Melisa it was just like we’d been friends for years. We met through Claudine at a business woman’s function and kept in touch ever since.
That’s the thing about Instagram you can stay behind your phone and chat, or you go out and connect in person.
Last week we caught up at a lovely cafe not far from her apartment in the city. Melisa is a dress and skirt person and has so many different styles, I don’t know where she fits it in her little place.
We had brunch with a sneaky champagne and of course I wanted to capture the her in the beautifully styled outfit.

At first Lyla was vey shy and hid behind mum. After a few chats about dollies and what she wanted for Christmas. Lyla warmed up to me and we had a fun time together. Sarah booked an hour session with me in her home to capture family photos and a few different looks for her business portfolio.
