I haven't been out to take any new photos of late so I was digging through some of my older images that I had taken but never edited. I came across this old one of a sunset during the summer of late 2017 from Bellerive looking south across the Derwent River. It's a bit of a personal reminder that I should shoot more sunsets. What do you think? For those of you that also take photos, what is your favourite time of day to shoot?

Exactly 5 years ago today I visited Horseshoe Falls after buying my first DSLR camera. At the time I had very little idea about how to use the camera, coming up with unique compositions and I was terrible at editing them. However, going back and visiting the photos I took of that day, I decided to re-edit one of the photos. While nothing exciting or unusual in terms of the composition, I thought this photo shaped up as "OK" after revisiting how to edit it.

What do you think?
Would you give it a pass mark?

On the weekend I went on a little adventure to photograph Myrtle Forest Falls. You can read about the falls and the surrounding area below. If you want to keep up to date with future blog posts, then feel free to subscribe to my website (just follow the instruction within the link). Thanks and enjoy!

Myrtle Forest Falls is a two-tier set of falls within the luscious Myrtle Forest behind Collinsvale on the outskirts of Hobart's northern suburbs (around 20 minute drive from Hobart). The falls are set in such a serene and tranquil location enveloped by lush green ferns, moss covered logs and rocks....

Took a little trip to Myrtle Forest Falls within Myrtle Forest, near Collinsvale just north of Hobart. I managed to capture the elusive grey-haired creature frolicking in the waterfall itself. A rare sight indeed.

The second image is further down from the falls of a large tree that has fallen over Myrtle Forest Creek.

More to come in the coming days.

It's been over 4 years since I did the but the views I saw on that trip are still very fresh in my mind. This is the view you get on the third day from The Blade back along the coastline of Cape Pillar. In the very distance you can see Cape Raoul. If you have been there, how was your experience? If you haven't, and want to know more, feel free to ask me any questions and I'll be glad to answer them for you.
