Cass and Sam roll deeeep. Sometimes a biiiig wedding party can be a logistical nightmare, but not Cass and Sam’s crew! It helps when everything happens in the same place, and these two got married at the incredibly beautiful Braeside Estate on the Gold Coast. Flick across this carousel to see how much fun we had (we can be very serious and romantic but also very not serious, all in the same session!), and how many different beautiful spots we were able to fit in during their portraits without being more than a few steps away from the party at any moment! Can you believe this was our very first impression of Braeside Estate and we couldn’t believe our eyes! There’s not a bad angle on this stunning property.

This isn’t even all of the spots we used for portraits, and we have so many favourite photos from their day that we might be drip feeding them all onto our instagram for the next decade.

We’re just sliding a couple of our favourite portrait moments from Michaela and Paco’s magnificent Tamborine Mountain Glades wedding past your eyeballs tonight! We adore these two and all of their crew 🥹

Golden light, manicured gardens, deep into the rainforest, by the creek… How cool is it to have so many different portrait looks available within metres of each other?! It’s beautifully efficient and gets everyone back to the party remarkably sooner than expected!

Because there’s two of us slingin’ cameras on your wedding day, we get to capture all this stuff that might have otherwise been missed. Are you going to give us 4 stars on Google because ‘the photos were great but the photographers didn’t get a photo of me doing a shoey on the dance floor’? Look, probably not… but it’s a little extra layer that tells the much bigger story of an incredible day very well lived. Are you gonna print a shoey pic on a canvas and display it in your house? Maybe not. But, how badass to be able to show that image to future generations?!

We’ve been doing this so long that we have a shot list permanently etched in our brains of all the images that must be captured at weddings as standard. Plus all of the fun portrait ideas we use to keep our couples moving, laughing, and relaxed. Plus the instinct to know exactly where to stand to predict moments before they happen, which is a freaky skill you can only acquire after eleventy seven billion hours at weddings. We do ask you two for a family photo list, that’s the only kind of shot list we need from our couples!

But all these little unexpected moments are the ones our couples don’t ask for, that don’t always happen, but when they dooooo, we’re here to catch them for all time.

Heidi and Chris got married on Heidi’s family property in Currumbin on the Gold Coast and it was absolutely maaaaagic!

DIY weddings can be a challenge, especially when the weather is not entirely on your side, but these two and their crew showed up absolutely ready to party no matter what, and everything was beyond perfection. So much heart! So much love! So much style! The most spectacular ceremony spot by the creek by day, rave in a cow paddock by night. And of course the rain stopped right before the ceremony and it didn’t rain again that day. There was amazing mexican food, fire pits, cows, twinkling lights and a crew of party people assembled from across the globe.

Just looking across the paddock at dusk, hearing the music and laughter carry across the valley, Heidi and Chris’ kids and their dogs running around, everyone a little bit muddy but several cocktails deep… ahhh. The best. We loved every second. Here’s just a handful of their sneak peeks. We are so excited to share more sooooon!

Hey, so… We love Gabbinbar. We also love Soph and Andy. Their wedding day was jam packed with joy, vibrant colours, cocktails, more colour, more joy, sparklers, so much love, joy, colour, did we mention joy and colour?! What a privilege it is to be able to witness all of this, and to capture it all exactly as it happens!

When you cram all of that goodness into the iconic grounds of this beautiful venue, the mellow late april Toowoomba weather and light, and you place it all under the expert care of the Gabbinbar team… you’ve got yourself one helluva party. This is just a few of their (many, maaaany) sneak peeks and like we keep tellin’ ya, it’s reeeeeallly hard to keep these carousels from being 300 slides long cos there’s too many amazing memories for one post. We can’t wait to share more!

The hardest part about sharing sneak peeks is trying to squish them all into this first instagram post! Lauren and Jake’s Kwila Lodge wedding was so effortlessly beautiful, with plenty of moments to connect and just be with all of their favourite people. Prepare your eyeballs for some beautiful sneak peeks from Brittany and Jake’s Plantation House wedding day! We’re talking colour, bubbles, confetti, champagne sprays, the most hilariously intentionally awkward wedding party photos we’ve ever seeeeen (Jake’s wheelbarrow pose in a full suit is *chefs kiss* perfection). Two weirdly specific but very lovely things we hear a lot: ‘I showed some people at work our wedding gallery and they said it felt like they were there!’ orrrr ‘I had to book you guys because my friend from work went to a wedding you shot and she showed me the wedding gallery and it felt like I was there’

How lovely is that?! That’s mission accomplished as far as we’re concerned! We love doing the beautiful couple portraits yeah, but it’s all the photos of your family and friends, the shots of the two of you just soaking it alllll in, your grandparents dressed in their finest outfits looking so proud for the family photos, the sneaky candids of you catching up with family and friends that you don’t even notice us taking… ahh we could go on and on!

Having two of us studio photographers on the cameras all day and night builds a really vivid story of your day… or your friend-of-a-friend-from-work’s day, that take you right back there, or at least make you feel like you were very much a part of some not-so-distant stranger’s wedding!

Cass and Sam told us from the very start: they just wanted a big party full of love with their favourite people. Their Braeside Estate wedding delivered on that brief in the most magnificent way possible 🥹

Although this wasn’t our first wedding for Cass’ family (and we freakin’ LOVE a lil’ wedding day family reunion!) This was, if you can even believe it, our very first time at Braeside Estate and we are absolutely blown away by how STUNNING this property is! We kept looking at each other like... how is this real life?!

Chuck in Cass and Sam and their incredible crew, their one year old daughter Layla absolutely stealing the show with her gorgeous smile, confetti cannons out of the chapel, all of their favourite people, and a dance floor that was still going hard at 10pm and you’ve got yourself one helluva wedding day.
