The Foster House is located in Foster (South Gippsland) Victoria. This beautiful 68 square meter master piece designed by co-owner architect Alison Hopper “represents ‘critical regionalism’ – a shcool of thought that see landscape, climate, light and geographical form as architecture in it’s purest form” – Small House Living Australia
“The design was inspired by the natural beauty of the blackwood trees and by the topography, the grandeur of the rolling hills within and beyond the site. We saw a simple sculptural form set in a natural setting – an object on the landscape rather than on it – one that uses visual contrast to amplify the power and beauty of its setting” – Alison Hopper.
The Foster House is featured in the book Small House Living by Catherine Foster.
Released through Penguin Books Australia in October 2017.
