I was blessed with this sight as I pulled into the driveway of the farm we stayed at in Burramine. Of course, I had to stop and get the camera out. I have captured many Tawny Frogmouths in the day before but not at night. They are such amazing creatures.

A few more images of Humpback Whales 🐋 putting on a show for those onboard Freedom III. The power to propel themselves out of the water just blows me away. The land behind the Humpback is K’gari (Fraser Island).

While we were at Arkarra Lagoons we had a down pour. We waited in out with a coffee in hand. Not long afterwards I captured this waterlogged Grey Butcherbird. That could have been us if it wasn’t for the Arkarra Gardens CafĂ© Restaurant.

One on the beauties of living on a farm was the 360 degree views. This is just one of many vistas we were privileged to witness. This was one of the brightest I have seen, unfortunately we did get the whole arc.

Houston, we have liftoff.

Captured this Australian Pelican taking off from the lagoon at Gorman Park.

Did you know that ‘Houston, we have liftoff’ was not actually said and is a phrase made popular by combining parts of actual quotes made popular by the movie Apollo 13.

The Real Quotes

Apollo 11 Launch (July 16, 1969):
Launch commentator Jack King actually said, "Liftoff! We have a liftoff, 32 minutes past the hour."

Apollo 13 (1970): The famous line from space trouble is actually "Houston, we've had a problem," spoken by astronaut John Swigert.

Look out the boogie man is coming. 😂

Captured this Royal Spoonbill fleeing from the advancing Magpie Goose. It was quite comical to see it use its mate as a stepladder is the process.

The Magpie Goose eventually made all bar one move on.
