Lucy, Chris and their sweet, quiet certainty.

A couple that went off-grid hiking for two weeks as their honeymoon, and (pics incoming) let their dog solve their last name quandary for them. Strongly encourage their method of standing either side of the aisle and calling your pooch, and whoever it goes to is whose last name you’ll take. Lucy won - cannot confirm whether she had kibble in that corset.

Continually touched by the collective intimacy of the “pre”; the communal women’s space behind the veil of what comes afterwards.

Privy to one another’s little rituals of getting ready. Unabashed changes in front of one another. Collaborative dressing, sharing, preening. Majority votes on the correct earring. All hands on deck to perfect one person’s hair. Shared makeup, shoes, tricks. Gentle self-sacrifice in the words of friends who say: “Here, wear mine”. The tenderness of knowing, and delivering, on the need to lose one’s s**t when the woman to be wed reveals herself, to big each other up and say “You look beautiful”.

The honour of being one of few to be with someone before It happens. The beauty of the comfortable nature of it all.

Anyone who has their wedding as a NYE party is a-ok with me. Rang in 2026 with these two very most excellent and wonderful and cool humans - a mix of film and digi to honour in her fab little situation and David/Dave/Georgey at and . Santé to clients that feel like friends 4.5 seconds after you meet them and to many a good drop at Casa 🥂

A quick little sunset saunter.

(IMO you rarely need to get in a car and shlep somewhere else for your photos. The right light at the right time will do 90% of the work for you.

NB: Also helps having sweet baby angels for a bridal party and smiling your head off all day)

Some people really get it right. Focus on the right things. Have the best time. Love each other sick.

My darling Hannah did that.
Described as “pure sunshine” about 86,000 times on her wedding day (and every other day).
A woman unfussed by inevitable f**k ups.
A woman kept apologising to me for kissing her new husband so much (outrageous, I know).
A woman so genuine in her thank yous that I’m quite sure I saw the planner cry.
A true joy to capture your day . A far cry from drunken uni days (or maybe not that much). And thanks for wearing that bow so I could take a thousand photos of it.
